  1. From 36 to 135 lol, they must have been looking at my recent numbers on strava! Weird that they change my number but I didn’t race any of the recent seeding races
  2. I'm assuming shimano ? I've got a lot of love for their products (although a bit less since I moved to 12spd on the road), but that 10spd cog on the MTB cassettes is super ***, they start slipping very quickly, never had that problem on sram 10spd cog... I replaced my 10-12 with cogs I found on aliexpress (they look OEM, but probably fake), it slips on all out sprints, but rides okay-ish at normal wattages.. EDIT : I see I'm going like a broken record on this thread
  3. lost mine long ago at home, don't stress, it's useless
  4. Neutral out of town for all racing bunches (except if the roads are fully closed and if there's no speedbumps/dangerous road features etc) DQ all the idiots that ride other side of the road instead of busting everyone's balls every race threatening to do it but never actually doing it Properly seeded groups. Someone said earlier that everyone in A batch has the same level, I choked on my coffee reading this, it's not because everyone is able to follow on a windless flatish route that everyone is the same level, and in most cases level comes with a bit of racing experience/handling capability (not always the case of course, but would probably reduce the risk of crashes midpack), also I find a smaller bunch usually reduces a bit the negative racing but that's not really a safety concern. Safe finish, a downhill off-camber turn just before a sprint was never a good idea, luckily I haven't seen one like this in the last 2 years. SA's finish would've been a bit dodge with the barriers in case of a bunch sprint, but the race was hard enough that it wouldn't be a problem.
  5. Sho, it really sounds like the races I took off my calendar were really the right ones not to race! I just lost interest and was a bit over road racing for now because of the riders « « tactics » » at winelands more than the organisers f-ups, I think i’d be so over road by now if I joined at 99er and that Tour de PPA 🥹🥹
  6. when you could've been smashing 6w/kg efforts up kloof and suikerbossie with me instead..
  7. He proved that they were right to kick him out, he does not understand that being a pro cyclist is also doing what you're told, and not telling your superiors that they make "stupid decisions"
  8. We’re going to have 32 newbies in $ group at CTCT 🤣🤣
  9. Where does this come from ??? Curious to read your source ? I doubt it’s from a health or performance perspective and suspect it’s more lifestyle/ideology thing. Although I wouldn't recommend smashing ribeye lunch and dinner every day, I wouldn't recommend anyone willing to improve in sports to not eating animal protein at all if anything I'd recommend lean meats (chicken, or even occasionally fillet) as a source of proteins and iron and most definitely low fat yogurt for recovery and to improve fitness over time. It is a bit weird though that you're getting cramps with your training load of 40km 4 times a week after just 50km if the intensity stays the same, I would ask professionnals, either your fit is completely wrong, or your diet (or even possibly something with your health). It doesn't sound like something the hub can help you with
  10. Funny thing is that those over excited sunday morning hardcore superbike riders, once they are at Killarney, they ride like scared puppies
  11. the wider the better. I'm currently on 42 because it was the max my previous bike could take, now that I have a crux, I'm waiting to put on 45s for the next bloc of races. Trying to wear my current pathfinders 42c as much as possible before I put on those Challenge getaways 45c, but pathfinders seem to have an endless life.

    Finish Time

Even when we had permanent chips or when we race big number boards at WP races we still have those stupid numbers on our backs... Will never understand why Cycling is so backwards

    Finish Time

😅 I heard of a few stories of people losing their boards, I only use 1 zip tie through the upper hole in the board (and holder) and so far so good

    Bikeinn

Main issue I have with them is that I can't find anything from their website, only from google 😅

Definitely not SA post 🤣🤣 I ordered AXS derailleurs and some other expensive stuff I wouldn’t have trusted them with 😅
  16. I must also admit, lately I've been riding towards durbanville more than town/suikers/chappies. The gravel bike makes it a lot more enjoyable, and I feel much much safer that way. Riding through town is always a bit more stressful between the cars and the pedestrians that just don't see you and the runners hiding in the bushes as you go down suikers and of course the crime...

    Bikeinn

yup, ordered with them a few times no problem
  18. No petition needed for my seeding ☺️😜
  19. Are you on the local facebook groups ? Could be worth a share there (bloubergstrander, table view neighbours, surely there's a few melkbos groups as well. Would love to be able to take my family there for safe rides
  20. Hopefully this year I get to go over red hill more than once
  21. I gave away my entry but still got a number 😅 Weird thing is that number is pretty high although still in $ group, I don't think the guy I gave it away to qualify for that group but also I'm usually closer to single digits numbers. Who knows what's going with Finishtime's seeding, just hope they don't surprise me with CTCT seeding
  22. no man, can't believe even BOA is now going to have negative posts on the hub 😅 not normal, BOA is usually bulletproof and they have the best customer support that ever existed. Problem in your case that it broke off on the shoe side, so it's not a case of they send you fresh parts and you can easily put them on yourself, this will take some shoe repair magic...
