  1. Team 238....late start means more sleep Keep left bitches!
  2. what spokes do you use? I use the Sapim CX-Ray spokes, and I am very happy with mine.....
  3. I agree
  4. Hannes en Shaun het nie eers n snor nie...HAHA....Ek sal gaan met Tankman aka the HENK, net oor hy my dronk maak op naweke.
  5. haha, yea...even getting VIP treatment
  6. Im going to buy me a kit like that.....then they will make me pee at every league race
  7. Could not agree more.... It should have stopped here: Following the announcement yesterday by the South African Institute for Drug-free Sport that Nedbank 360Life’s David George has tested positive for the banned substance, EPO and George’s subsequent admission of guilt, USN has, with immediate effect, terminated its association with the professional cyclist... But then they carry on about their product.
  8. And that is exactly the reason I pay my PPA fee's, league fees, etc to PPA, because they build cycling.....and try improve it.
  9. That is not the point, 150k for a national event and they still take the income proceeds of registration....sounds like ripoff to me....do the maths...they dont even give proper money, they gave me a flippen voucher for a 3rd place last season, no thank you.....so R150000 + Entry fee's...so rather than promoting cycling they are thinking of their pockets....anyway....Aca Joe sponsored as well so not really sure why Cycle Lab want 150k to organise like 13 races during the whole year? I support my LBS because he does not rip me off.
  10. from B to A
  11. That is crazy, probably for Cycle Lab to atleast make some money to fund their pathetic bike shops...clearly the cyclist interest wernt taken into consideration. I think PPA did a pretty good job, yes the points is delayed, but besides that overall organising of events was pretty well. The calender only has 3 road races in spring, would be cool to get Die Burger onto the list for spring....but besides that it went well...
  12. Would love to see him in Yellow, however Alberti would also want to reclaim a tour victory after losing all his...hopefully this is a more interesting tour not as boring as the one Wiggo won...
  13. Lol! You sure he stole it off your head and it didnt perhaps fall off?
  14. Was a very hard race again! Weather was awesome, good seeing the fellow hubbers again! Off to Atlantis for the final race of the season!
  15. That part was never explained...a valuable lesson learned before...it does not help to scream at the other person, in the end the problem will get resolved if screaming or talking, the only difference is when screaming you are being a total d@@s where talking atleast the guy can admit mistake, they fix it, come back next time, chat...make a buddy...get discount....etc.... When my bro used to race we always got great service and stuff from Bridge, sometimes they will even lend us a wheel so he can go compete if his was busy being fixed...
  16. What kit was he wearing? do you perhaps know what bike he was on?? I know a few 20-30 year olds staying in that area...
  17. My money is on Sagan again...he shut that little Cavendish up for once as he thought he dominated the sprinting in road races...
  18. when does the auction close? Also inseam of 57cm? what is the size of the frame? According to Wikipedia he is 1.83m tall....
  19. I am sure loads of others doped during their career as well...I think all previous dopers should maintain their titles, who wants a hand-me-down anyway... Lance was a good cyclist, yes he doped, but in the end he still needed to pedal... This should be a lesson, rather forget the past and focus on the future of cycling....
  20. I had a bit of a crap race...started way to hard, chasing a break down, following on a few....as we went up the climb a guy dropped his chain, caused us to miss the bunch as we voided it when braking, just could not find the legs to chase them in again as it was so close....waited until Tiny K came past and we worked together until the finish....like they say, you can't have a good race every weekend, so hopefully this was my only one...back to the drawing board... We were nailing it at the start tho, nice fast pace....but that wind back was tough....and huge congrats to David Garret who won with a solo break away the last 15km showing the wind how it is done.
  21. For a pair of pedals? Eish! a lot of money
  22. Do you want to ride your bike or be a couch potato? Stop moaning, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger.... That is the same face I got, but then again bad winds was predicted for the One Tonner and there was hardly any wind on the race day, best way is to show up at the event... Can't wait for it
  23. Never ever will I use a carbon bar or stem....I seen before where those things snapped and it is not good....Imagine now while racing deciding to sprint "poof" there your stem snaps or your handlebar snaps taking a nice dip in the tar at 50km/h+....no thank you! Even sometimes if the roadbike just falls over the carbon bar can crack, I seen it happen at an event, the guy fell over and the bar broke off.... Carbon frame does the job, I run a Ritchey WCS Logic stem and Handlebar, it is light, minimal flex and atleast I don't have to worry about it breaking off.... So besides the cool looks of a carbon stem....that is about it....
  24. I use the chromo ones, awesome pedals! However I popped the bearing inside which needs replacing but nothing major....I also use the 16nm tension.
