There are so many trails to chose from. I'm 1.7m and a mens medium is too big for me! Sounds like its the frame size rather than wheel size that is a problem. I ride a girls medium which is perfect for me (reach is shorted than the mens).

Exactly my thoughts. Awesome singletrack and not too many "roadies" doing it. I've missed this the last few years for various reasons (none of them being that I didn't want to be there). So excited to do it again. Now I just need some lights so I can do the night ride

I think it depends whether you are lacking anything in your diet or your body doesn't absorb vitamins well. For example, someone who is lactose intolerant will struggle to get enough calcium. In my case, my body doesn't absorb iron well so I am permanently on Iron tablets. I can feel the different when I take them.

spiderkzn, that's an awesome dream to have. Take it one step at a time. I also started doing +- 20km races and have now managed to complete both Berg&Bush and Sani. Best motivation I find to train is to enter a race that is above my current fitness level. At the gym, I find the spinning bikes are a lot closer to the feel and setup of a real bike than the other machines.

You're not getting mine..... I can't wait to do Berg and Bush again. Hope you find an entry, think you will love it.

Agreed. That long downhill was tough on the hardtail. Unfortunately its the only mtb I own now so I'll be riding it again this year. Are you doing it this year ?

I take a lot longer than you! Did K2C twice and both times just over 7 hours (I stop lots and enjoy the view, lol).

You made a good decision. The last 20km's was into a horrible head wind. A year later I still remember the pain, and then we missed the cut-off by +- 15 minutes or so :-( It really is a beautiful ride and this year I will be back and I WILL make the cut-off. I took longer to do this race then K2C, but I think that was mostly due to the wind. Climbing isn't bad, lots of little rolling hills in the 2nd half.

If the girls are going with, u could always stay at the warm baths in Citrusdal. That way they will have something to do while u r cycling.

Cederberg Oasis makes some rather nice ribs and burgers. Don't know if they have enough room for 5 couples though. You can try Nuwerust, they have chalets that sleep lots and are VERY reasonable. Otherwise just google, loads of nice places for different budgets. What activities are you looking for? Cederberg has nice hiking trails, a mtb route, caves etc to visit, but that isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Where are the pictures of the crack??? No one here can really say whether it is a warranty or not without actually seeing it.

Had the Thule aero roof racks on my polo and civic and didn't have issues with the noise. If anyone wants aero bars, I have a set for sale. Also have the boots, just not sure what models they fit. Can't seem to find anyway of putting roof racks on my Honda Brio.

I recently sold my ERA for R13000 and I had to be patient to get the price I wanted. It was also a 2009 model, however is was the Carbon comp model which is above the comp model. Not the news you want to hear. Your bike is already 4 years old now and even the ladies are all wanting 29ers these days.

I was running with a 6 month old Rottweiler pup that we were looking after. Going a good pace and suddenly he saw something on the other side and ran right in front of me. I tripped over him and landed had on my knees. Arrived home hobbling with blood stained socks.

Better than what Kalahari does. I added an item to my basket (it was on special). Went to browse for another 2 minutes or so to see if I wanted to buy anything else which I didn't so I went to check-out my item and the price had doubled. NOT impressed with them at all. Customer service sucks as well.

I'm sure that a bike shop won't mind doing a measurement for you. It only takes a minute or two. Just go to the one that you will most likely buy all your spares and accessories from.

I buy the big tub of nuts from woollies. I just like a little snack while watching tv. Keeps me busy.
