  1. Have a look at Compare tracks http://www.comparetracks.com/ it is nice use, you can playback you race/training ride in real time or play multiple races in real time. It is fun to see how you compare to other riders. You can get gpx files from motion based.
  2. Nice frame but the fork just look wrong, does it comes with a option for a shock?
  3. Take her with to all the shops I found that they (woman) choose bikes differently, color and comfort not specs like us. Grant cycles in centurion have a whole range of Merida, Silverback and GT. Got my Gf a RED Merida this week.
  4. So water in the Hydration pack and Energy drink in the bottle, will this be sufficient for a long ride. Or must I let her put another bottle in the back pack?<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  5. So what do you do if you only have one bottle? <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> My GF also have a small frame and can fit only one bottle. I bought her a Hydration pack (1.5l). Do you put water or energy drink in the Hydration pack or just water in the bottle? This is for the 94.7
  6. I hate being late for a race. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> In fact. I hate being late. I hate people that are always late.

  8. I hate it when i change to the wrong gear on a uphill and every ons pass me.
  9. I have only 2 wheels a front and a rear. For the 94.7 I will use both since it has been tested and worked for me in the past year.

  12. Night eating. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Get some Whey protein and fat free milk mix and store in the freezer, when you wake up to snake have a shake. Or take a Whey protein shake before bed then you shouldn?t wake up to eat, having a good uninterrupted night rest is just as important as training. Just my 2c
  13. It's always those last 2 kg's that you struggle to lose!!! I see everyone wants to lose one or two last kg's..... Why are we never satisfied - lose those last 2 kg's and then you'll still want to lose just one more' date=' and then just another one....[/quote'] But saying that I weigh 89kg sound a lot better than 90kg.
  14. I have dropped from 116kg to 92kg but breaking the 90kg mark takes some serious effort.
  15. Blikskottel Beee, dit is flippen goed. Amper 20kg verloor. Duidelik het jy vet verloor en spier gebou geen wonder jy ry soos die wind. Jy kan my gerus 'n paar tips gee.
  16. I got the nick name ?Stoom Trein? after this weekend?s race, I thought it was because I just kept on going and going at a steady pace, now I know it is because I carry all that weight up the mountains. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I thought I was just above average at 92kg 1.86m, now I know I?m also in the Industrial class.
  17. I?m 1.86m tall and weigh 92kg with 19.5% body fat. Quite a lot of mass to pull up the mountains.
  18. We use the Zartek pro 8 radios and it work very good. It comes with an earphone with inline PPT button. Try new world in menlyn<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> http://www.zartek.co.za/pro1.htm You need an earphone with inline PPt button, the vox function don?t work well on a bicycle. The support from Zartek is quite good, im trying to get a earphone with a PPT button on your finger so that you don?t need to take your hands of the handlebar to talk. I used the oregon scientific radios but the earphone plug is not compatible with all ear phones.
  19. Op Floptus... en skree vir die ander span....
  20. It is Friday! We have a lot of nice races in Gauteng and it improves year by year.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Nice friendly people to cycle with. Yesterday while driving to gym I drove behind a group of cyclists on the Nellmapius road towards centurion, I turned my Hazards on and my lights on bright and drove slowly behind them as a support car, when they turn of my route they lifted there hands just to say Thanks. I must say it was a small thing for me to do, but the reward was good.
  21. Thanks for the help, if you have more info it will help.
  22. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Do you know of a group that trains around centurion (virgin active club) in the early mornings? Or a nice route starting at VA? +-2.5 hours I need more time on the bike.
