  1. Same here. Recently bought myself some of the CS Matrix bibs. And i must say very nice. Must say they are my first bib?s, I like the low cut in the front, makes a pit stop a lot quicker. Sorry to much info. I just had to share.
  2. Thanks. I think I will train to get in the A bunch then I will decide if I can keep up with the big boys, otherwise I will use it if I want to start early.
  3. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Now that I have a Cyclosport License, do I enter the license number on the site when entering a race? Where on the card is my license number? Do I enter the licensed categories or open seeded. Sorry for all the questions?
  4. I also got my License yesterday in the post, less than two weeks later. I must say CSA impressed me. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> It is only valid till 2007-12-31. I was shocked at first then I made a little calculation there are 5 races that I will do x R30.00 = R150.00 and my License was only R75.00 so I saved R75.00. Next year I will save even more.
  5. While we are on the topic, what type of mic an earphone do you use, I tried it but get a lot of wind noise? Do you use those with a mic button? Were do you buy them?

  11. Jip the long one. Maby i must visit Sportmen's.
  12. Oops... No Tri athlon shorts.... Maby just cycle with shorts..."Eina.."
  13. Cervelo: Do you run in you cycling pants? What times are you aiming for?
  14. I have to agree and disagree with you. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> There are some instructors that are there just for the money and know very little about cycling. But there are those that are quite good riders and informed cyclists that can give you a lot of help. Speak to you VA, they have little cards at the front desk fill it in and see if it improve, if the members don?t complain they will never know about the problem.
  15. Oops...sorry, i did not post the link i spoke about. http://www.kreuzotter.de/english/espeed.htm Ok now it is done.
  16. Gumpole For the power guru guys... If I AVERAGED 200w for a race like the argus, spending a lot of the time in the slipstream what kind of time would I be looking at?? assume no wind and I weigh 80kg incl bike, clothing helmet etc. 4 hrs, 3.5, under 3?? I found this website yesterday, it calculate power. Dont know how accurate, but you can have a look.
  17. Nochain, my thought aswell. 18. Winter challenge on Sunday the road part, still deciding if I?m going to do the MTB as well. My mountain bike is really old and only been on the road, it would be a new thing.
  19. Good point, im also new to MTB so maby i must skip that one, are you doing the Teavigo SA Duathlon Series 2007 (Race #4, Pretoria) 7 July 2007.
  20. Nice to see some hubbers doing the Afriman, Cervelo is this your first Afriman? Why not do the Teavego the week before? "im thinking of doing it aswell"
  21. Thanks. It is always nice to get advice from the guys that know what is cooking.
  22. Thanks guys, <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Now that u mention inflating to the correct pressure do you deflate the tires a bit after the race or do you store your bikes at full pressure.
  23. I?m using Continental Gator skins at this stage had good results with them, I just wanted some extra protection.
  24. Tire liners on a Road bike. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> What are the feeling from the people her about putting tire liners in a road bike. I?m not a pro but like doing races.
  25. My 10c. It is not a bad bicycle for someone just starting out, I don?t know what her budget are but you can look for a new 2006 model as well. Here in Pta you can Find a Fuji Newest 1.0 2006 for half the price of a new one, at Solomon?s. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> You can rather spend more money on the extras (good shoes and pedals, computer, ect) and she can use it on the next bike if she wanted a new bike after a year or three. Can any body remember what the specs were on the pro?s bikes in the early 80?s and what times they did 100km?
