  1. Are you happy with the wheelset, gemmerbal?
  2. Maybe give the guys at Bell's Cycling (bellscycling.co.za) or at Cycletribe (cycletribe.co.za) a call? They should be able to point you in the right direction
  3. You are on a puntastic roll
  4. I have the Lezyne Macro. Bulletproof for more than a year and with amazing battery life (around 20 hours). A Lezyne unit is a no-brainer for me.
  5. Like a typical internet user I didn't read the whole thread, only a couple of pages. Would the closing of the off-topic section not lead to more threads being derailed? Speaking of, Any of you struggling to get your money back from the guy working on the oil rig?
  6. Excellent News! https://fb.watch/2dt28_kZdS/
  7. I really enjoyed this thread a lot! Thanks for all the insight from people that have ridden the Munga. Nothing of value to add from my side, only: Wow, hats off to the riders.
  8. Jurgens, this is a nice thread, thanks! It is great to hear everyones' motivation. Good luck with starting again. I also think Zwift racing might be just your thing! I ride because I enjoy it and for my health - mental and physical. If I don't exercise, I become grumpy (and fat). If I am irritated, my wife will quickly say: I think you must go for a ride.
  9. Talking about cages on clipless pedals: Any advantages in a peddle with a cage/bigger contact area than the Shimano 520? Does it give better stability and/or power output. Or is this something that is negated by the stiffness of your shoe?
  10. Congrats - I know grey, white etc isn't everyones' cup of tea, but this bike is beautiful!
  11. Francis got his gearing right :-) Everesting on a BMX https://youtu.be/3EsyyvfzU7U
  12. Unfortunately the grinder is no more - couldn't open it up completely, but enough to see that the motor is damaged (judged by the black smoke sticking to the insides of the machine. I had it for 5+ years and need to replace it as my manual burr grinder is nice to use once in a while, but not every time we drink coffee. I see the Severin has nearly doubled in price since I bought one. I use the grinder mostly for French Press, Aeropress and pour over. Any recommendations for a similar burr grinder? The Melitta Molino looks quite good at an attractive price point. Does anyone here have one? Cheers!
  13. A lekker afternoon in the Slowveld
  14. Thanks a lot @the nerd! Yes, that is the exact model. My biggest issue is trying to figure out how to open it up. That way I can see if it is an easy fix or if the motor is toast.
  15. I know it may be a long shot... I have a Severin Conical Burr grinder that has handled every bean I throw at it for a couple of years. It suddenly stopped to extract the beans from the burrs. The motor turns but you can hear it is straining. I cleaned it, made sure the extraction chute is clear, but still no luck. There may be a bean stuck somewhere, but I can't figure out how to open the grinder up. Any clues? It is far out of it's warranty and I have no idea who works on these and if it is even worth the cost. Thanks in advance! https://capecoffeebeans.co.za/collections/coffee-grinders/products/severin-conical-burr-electric-coffee-grinder?gclid=CjwKCAjwqML6BRAHEiwAdquMnVFYgScg9_oAxR1ExIiwWuqWU82q7Ry0M5vybQhW3u35nKfea4RPsBoCRBYQAvD_BwE
  16. @waynemol don't you go quiet on us when you finally decided on and got the bike!
  17. Can I pretty please get a race with my coke in 2020?
  18. Instead of creating a new thread, I would like to add my voice of appreciation. I started having issues with my tickr, tried to resolve it, got great advice from Wahoo/ikhambi distribution. When that didn't help, they phoned me and told me that a new tickr is on its way. They could have tried to play hard ball regarding the warranty (my unit was on the edge of the warranty period), but they didn't. This is how you keep customers.
  19. So you call your wife your "wide" and get away with your life? Big ups!
  20. I am also very happy with my Onza Canis tyres. For the kind of riding I do (mostly XC with a bit of tech) they are definitely worth their price to me.
  21. Beautiful afternoon in the Lowveld
  22. Wow. What a picturesque place to live and ride!
