  1. btw looks like no wind http://www.yr.no/place/South_Africa/Western_Cape/Ceres/long.html
  2. Dont think you will have a wind problem in the valley its very sheltered.
  3. Thanks Ceres, i will def phone you to see whats available 3 months from now once i am healed up and can ride again. Its still my all time fav place. And I'm still quite disappointed that i couldn't ride this weekend, Next time will bring all the camera an movie kit and then do a proper movie Those new sections looks epic. And i agree with Ceres id rather ride in the rain this time of year than in the blistering sun in that part of the world, that valley can get quite toasty. BTW when i come again we must def go ride been there about 8 times now and never managed to get you pinned down for some local guide knowledge
  4. Did you scrub them with a hard brush and dishwashing liquid prior to installation? the factory puts a wax seal on the insides and stans struggles to seal the pinholes if that wax is present.
  5. In my opinion you keep a set of evo's for raceday and then put your regulars back on after the race is done, its like they were designed to only last one marathon... if your lucky.
  6. you forgot to mention to him that the wirebead/foldable and the schwalbe evo's are about as durable as rice paper on the sidewall department, if your going tubless and want schwalbe's the put on the snakeskins, replacing rubber is much cheaper than replacing teeth. A friend of mine destroyed both his "foldable" stock schwalbe's this weekend at esels.I destroyed 3 evo's this year already. ITs not worth the risk to save a grand.
  7. Stay on topic or go fight in PM
  8. And later on at the end, have to warm people though the vid stops at 11min somehow the tube duplicated it and it plays twice.
  9. Cant finish a ride without having a golden beverage Hairy
  10. for those who have not experienced utopia yet
  11. Ceres thanks for an amazing track the new sections apparently rock... i couldn't ride thanks to my torn thumb ligaments but hey the group kept on raving about it.
  12. also rizer bars are fine just remove the spacers and drop the bar works like a charm.
  13. bottom line is both defy conventional thinking about carbs in athletes doesnt much make a diff if noakes is coining a copied principle.
  14. Oh wow a major difference your allowed sweet potatoe in the one but not the other, its a bloody copy cat diet, AndJaco thats exactly what the paleo diet is about eat anything a caveman could get hold off, i.e. no milk no sugar, no wheats, etc. i.e. The "Tim Noakes" diet, he just tweaked it so he cant be sued by the paleo people. Its all the exact same principle.
  15. People of the world the noakes diet is nothing but a simple rip off of the paleo diet that has been around for many many moons with great success, even Joe Friel uses it on his national and Olympic athletes with great success. He does modify it a bit simply saying that after a hard work out eat whatever carbs you desire you need it for recovery. So its kind of the perfect diet, once you have a craving for carbs, go excersize balls to the wall and the have them.
  16. Really really really strong racing snakes .........
  17. Ive seen people complain about wear but i cant say i have the same experience. And i do quite a bit of tar work with them as well. Mine still looks brand new.
  18. 86kg not a featherweight and not a superweight. the sidewalls on the maxxis is just as useless as the schwalbe evo's. The conti protections, and schwalbe snakeskins last much much longer.
  19. Ikon exo 3c's and yeah been running the x-king now for about 800km with no issues, and its the protection and not the full UST version so im impressed with the durability.
  20. Just dont ride them in the Cape or the Karoo, already got 2 sidewall tears. Never buying Ikons again, unless i decide i want to just ride jeeptrack,,,, oh wait no the last ikon got cut on the jeeptrack section of jonkers.................. Screw that sticking to X-kings.
  21. Yeah but she's petit, so i think a 26 makes more sense if your small, besides they are a hell of a lot cheaper so many upgrade options can be added
  22. Renay Groustra <renay@sciencetosport.com>
  23. Then i suggest the first thing you do is go for an ergofit, to get the correct bike fitment done, not the "bikeshop" method where they know nothing and just want to sell you something. Secondly if you enjoy tokai jonkers etc I suggest a dual sus, much more fun, more forgiving, and loads more comfy. Brandwise you have many options but in the 15-20k option i would say go for a giant anthem, you simply cant go wrong with an anthem, the scott is an option but the rear shock is crap, merida is also an option (i personally just dont like them for no valid reason) And silverback will also do a very good deal.
  24. Now its all relative, what are your current riding conditions trails, are you in it for the fun or to be a serious competitor, do you prefer speed over comfort.

    Formula 1...

Yeah not sure why hamilton would want to move to a B grade car, guess im going to have to scream for perez seeing as im not a button fan, would have prefered Rosberg or kimi in the mclaren seat though.
