  1. flat peace of road spin away its not tough to do its just boring, but its crucial to do.
  2. Me too, "theres no way to detect a rider injecting his own blood" bullsh@!T, its called plasticines it doesnt degrade, and is prevelant in any transfusion, so if he did it would be in his blood thats been kept for who knows how many years. Guilty or not, without a postive test of the thousands of samples they have, it still remains a witchunt, if the UCI and the FBI couldnt make a case based on "evidence" the very same evidence the USADA has the case is still not proven. Only diff is USADA is judge jury and execusioner and they dont need evidence in the legal sense of the word to ban someone.
  3. It reminds me more of handbags at 12 o clock with panties in a bunch lol
  4. ok yeah schwalbe's are super thin although (some people here claim they do ok on the foldable's and evo's) I wouldnt run them, only schwalbe i would run toobless is the snake skin versions.
  5. Whats the stock rubber?
  6. No most people convert till they have time/money to buy lighter proper UST rims, And youll only get cuts in the tyre if you use none tubless rubber with rice paper sidewalls, thats got nadda to do with the rims. The other issue is foldable tyres (none UST) dont have a lock on bead, so they tend to creep of the rim under load, once again thats not due to the rim being UST or not its due to the actual bead design of the rubber.
  7. Eish need i say it ... I mean seriously whats wrong with roadies...
  8. Depending on the depth of the rims the strip might be required using just tape on deep rims cuases issues with some tyres seating on the bead. but yea gettho is so 1980 just do a proper conversion.
  9. That makes no sense, BMI is measured with gut circumfrance height and weight, so unless you have one huge gut you wont be measured as obese. If you just go weight and length then yeah your results will be skewed.
  10. No skinny jeans but your happy about lycra?
  11. Both are essentially normal tubless tyres, manufacturers that work label theirs UST pay royalties to use the term, TLR tubless ready, or TNT tubes no tubes, are the same thing they just call it a different name to avoid royalties. I guess his question is more meant are you running a gettho setup with foldable tyres or proper tubless tyres.
  12. Defintily not, I agree with you there. But its based on avg's and only supposed to be a starting point. It is however the most accurate one i have managed to find in the world of avg based stats.
  13. Jeez dude how much you weigh if it suggests 31/33 Im 87kg and spot on with 24/26, Also remember is a generalized gauge, different rubber might have different sweetspots, Rim width as well as rider ability also plays a role, but as a starting point for most I find it 95% acurate.
  14. try this works like a charm for me. http://mtb.ubiqyou.com/

  16. Its obviously a debate, but if you look at Joe Friel "author and top US, national and olympic coach" He has had many atheletes won Nationals, and has achieved olympic success with the paleo diet which is essentially basically the same thing, He has however adapted the diet to include loads of carbs once you have done high intensity workouts (for recovery purposes) And to maintain anaerobic levels has more to do with training yourself to function at that intensity than it has to do with carb utlization. Very few people train properly and spend way to little time in Zone 1/2 on easy rides, or zones 4-5a/b for high intensity training. We tend to gravitate to a moderate training functioning mainly in Zone 3 becuase on slow easy training rides we go to hard, and on hard training rides we are fatigued by not taking the easy rides easy. Hence most people train aerobic capacity but hardly any anearobic capacity.
  17. realistically to have benefit from eating before a race, you need to eat at least 3 hours before the race, i dont know many people that eat at5am to start racing at 8am
  18. ag i dunno hell they ban anything from aspirin to footpowder on the list, its ridiculous if you ask me, i say let them dope they doing it anyway they just wasting money trying to prove that cycling is a clean sport.
  19. Just refer it to the consumer protection agency and ask for their comment.
  20. You forgot to mention the other 999 dopers in the top 1000 peleton.
  21. just type "yr ceres" in google. or go back a page and follow the link i posted. You basically drive straight through ceres on the main road, exit the town, youll see a turnoff to the right next to a big fruit storage facility, turn there and head straight youll eventually drive into the farm.
  22. I buy a bearing kit when i buy my bike, once the bearings are destroyed i replace them. Some bikes the bearings last longer than others. So no point in replacing something that aint broke.
  23. btw looks like no wind http://www.yr.no/place/South_Africa/Western_Cape/Ceres/long.html
  24. Dont think you will have a wind problem in the valley its very sheltered.
  25. Thanks Ceres, i will def phone you to see whats available 3 months from now once i am healed up and can ride again. Its still my all time fav place. And I'm still quite disappointed that i couldn't ride this weekend, Next time will bring all the camera an movie kit and then do a proper movie Those new sections looks epic. And i agree with Ceres id rather ride in the rain this time of year than in the blistering sun in that part of the world, that valley can get quite toasty. BTW when i come again we must def go ride been there about 8 times now and never managed to get you pinned down for some local guide knowledge
