I was gonna say,'I didn't know camels had spoked wheels or disk brakes'
  2. RIP Juan. Condolences to family and Friends. Did a google search - seems condolences are coming in from international forums too - http://www.jeuxvideo.com/forums/1-27916-256237-1-0-1-0-rip-juan-van-heerden-est-mort.htm
  3. Just make sure you have a cable adjustment point at either the front or the back, otherwise it will be fine. Plan B is to have one put in like some bikes that I have seen (looks like a pvc canister that screws out to tension the cable more).
  4. Glad you are ok man! Speedy recovery
  5. money and time - lacking in both departments
  6. How? I commented in Gummibear's pic.......... you need some coffee........
  7. How the EFF?!
  8. Typical Italians
  9. That pic has no words to describe how amazing it looks!
  10. If I only still swam......
  11. Strange coz it worked for me on the edge 800 and Niklasvm on the edge 500 save it as GPX Plug unit into pc/laptop Explore garmin to find 'new files' folder Paste the route there Unplug garmin Start it up Look under courses (it should be there)
  12. I had to save up for a year before I could buy the bike I could afford* (not wanted because there is always a different bike I want when it gets launched)
  13. what I meant by 'gone' is that the slimy sensation is gone, but it is still there.
  14. As Azonic said, long rides and races, yes. I use speensalf - cheapest on the market and works 100%. It does feel slightly slimy in the beginning but after a few Km's it's 'gone'.
  15. Same issue. It has always been slow but lately slower than usual...... re Garmin - I just use the mapping for the route not for elevation data. That I get on the ride
  16. Can't wait! (or is it rather, I can wait, until I have the fitness.........)
  17. Gave him two good bottles of red wine before he left....... obviously he finished it already
  18. HAHA! boet, this was in Dec last year already...... before he went into the bushes for 3 weeks.
  19. these are actually quite nifty. Took one for a spin last year when the Tour 'd Afrique finished in CT. You can still pedal the bike - it's just a couple of Kg's heavier. Commute is the main market - you can use the battery to get to work = no sweaty body, and then ride the bike home = moerse sweaty body.
  20. I look in the persons direction and just tap my head with my fingers...... they get the picture Shaking of the head does nothing as far as I have learnt.........
  21. So, did the truckers do it? Edit, my bad! I thought it was today....... you can see where my mind is headed - PAY DAY!
  22. SWEET Bianchi! I had one until quite recently (I upgraded and my farther sold the bike - was his that I 'borrowed' for 2 years).
  23. self made buff - for neck and face Thermal vest Jersey wind jammer arm warmers long finger gloves bib short leg warmers shoes shoe covers toe covers mj808e front light ravx led rear light ..... and hope for a rainless day (I have a road bike...... but looking into the MTB scene)
  24. Enduren bar for rides longer than 2hrs - nothing if shorter. Contains raisins, oats, cocoa and a few other things (can't remember off hand). Really tasty and easy to eat. Like Drongo said, take food with too. A buddy of mine has started taking boiled baby potatoes with for rides instead of taking 'manufactured' food. Another option is banana and peanut butter on a sarmie or roll - named the 'Bike Monster special' after an old hubber (who has emigrated)
