Not sure if anyone has seen this but I thought I would share this. http://www.toyota.co.za/toyotaworld/sponsorship_content.aspx?contentid=1657 The Toyota MTN Cycle Park in Bryanston, adjacent to Main Road between Sloane and Witkoppen, will provide a safe world-class facility for adrenaline junkies, and introduce the public at large to one of South Africa?s fastest growing pastimes?, says Andrew Kirby, Toyota SA. According to Cycle Lab?s, Andrew Mclean, apart from its BMX track and MTB trail, the facility will house the necessary infrastructure for both would-be biking professionals and the community as a whole. ?There will be a parking lot, a Seattle coffee shop and a bike shop, and we will also have development bicycles on loan for underprivileged children in Diepsloot and other areas, so that they can be introduced to the sport,? said Mclean. The park will be opened to the public in November. 18. http://www.itweb.co.za/ [ Johannesburg, 6 May 2008 ] - South African technology enthusiasts will be able to try out the much-hyped Apple iPhone ?later this year?, says Vodafone, Vodacom's part-parent. The international cellular operator this morning announced it had signed an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone in 10 of its markets around the globe. In addition to SA, Vodafone customers in Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand and Turkey will be able to purchase the iPhone for use on the Vodafone network. The availability of the iPhone will undoubtedly see a rush similar to that seen in other markets. However, IDC telecoms analyst Richard Hurst says there will be ?no need to call out the riot police?. ?Vodacom are very good at exploiting any small opportunity into a big advantage. They will certainly leverage the launch of the iPhone in SA to the maximum,? he comments. Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin earlier this year hinted to Indian media that the operator may release the second-generation phone. No further information has been forthcoming on whether this is likely or not.quinton2008-05-06 07:44:30
