  1. I'd say that "premium" badge only comes from it's $$$ asking price. https://gadgets.ndtv.com/audio/features/sony-1000xm3-vs-bose-qc35-ii-1966224 VerdictBose has always had the edge when it comes to noise cancelling headphones, but with the WH-1000XM3, Sony has finally pulled ahead. The sound on offer is plush and detailed, with the crisp highs and wide soundstage a particular highlight. The headphones also last longer on a single charge, and the noise cancellation is stellar, and highly customisable. https://www.whathifi.com/sony/wh-1000xm3/reviewVerdictAdd all of the ingredients together – the increased comfort, improved noise-cancelling and serious audio ability – and you have as close to the perfect pair of noise-cancelling headphones as it’s currently possible to find. There are rivals out there that can beat them in specific areas, but none offer the same exceptional all-roundedness. Taken as a whole the WH-1000XM3s are simply sensational – the perfect long-haul travel companion, office upgrade or daily commute enhancement.
  2. Sony’s WH-1000XM3 beats Bose IMO. NC is incredible and audio quality along with comfort is great. The MK3 Sony recently replaced the MK2's which were the same generation as the Bose QC35. I'd say 1. Sony WH-1000X Mark 3 2. Bose QuiteComfort 35 (should be updated soon) 3. Bowers & Wilkens PX I've had the PX and now the Sony. The PX has some cool features like autoplay and pause when putting them on / taking them off. What I like about the Sony MK3 VERY comfortableLONG battery life and charge quick (one charge lasted me a CT - JHB - UK - LAX trip on 1 charge)Comes with USB-C charger cable, mini jack to mini jack, aeroplane two prong adapter, carry caseFolds flat and relatively small into a hard case which protects it when carrying around Agreed that Beats are marketing hype.
  3. Cape Town runners: go and support the Fairtree Contour trail run this weekend http://www.trailhub.co.za/c/_/a/news/event-news/entries-closing-soon-for-the-2019-fairtree-simonsberg-contour-stage-race-r316

  5. Used fhose for quite a while. Back when they were still maroon. When I changed to Vater I first played the Recording model which was closest in feel to the Weckls, with the balance more towards I liked. When they launched the LJR signature sticks I found exactly what I wanted. Have been playing them since. On the odd occasions I'll use the 5AXD stick when I need extra beef for outdoors or big shows.
  6. DW Collector’s Series
  7. Better?
  8. Vater for life. Lil John Roberts Signature most of the time or Bebop 500 for SA's small venues

  16. OE parts carry international warranty and under distribution agreements have to be honored by local agents. Aftermarket parts generally have to go throuth the retailer you bought it from, but most (more better) agents will look after some warranty cases where it makes sense. Canyon have an agreement in place with SRAM SA (Cape Cycle Systems) , not sure about Shimano (Coolheat)
  17. Kimi should have stepped down. Go to WRX or something
  18. Hi, have a read here: https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/gear/reviews/unboxing-canyon-aeroad-cf-slx-r7401 Regarding duty I received some info from UPS last week: - Please note that vat is calculated as follow customs value x 10% + customs value x 15 %- Example 100.00 customs value x 10% = 110 x 15% = 16.50 plus 15 % of the customs duty.- No VAT and duty on shipping costs.

  22. My wife has just messaged me to say that two of her running friends were attacked on Zevenwacht just past Bakwena Spa this morning. All their stuff stolen and the one lady badly hit with a pipe. Freaking sucks as I've always felt safe to ride on my own there. Seemingly not anymore. Stay safe out there peeps
