  1. Agree with you 100%. I did and is busy losing a bike or two's weight from my waist ... 😁πŸ€ͺ Unfortunately I am a bit of a weight weeny on my bike also πŸ™ˆ, always looking to keep its weight down as much as possible πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ.
  2. Thats a good weight for a proper enduro bike, the ruff stuff is not for me so enjoy πŸ€ͺ
  3. I built and chose my own components, my bike is around 11kg all up and I spend less then R60k in total. Granted, my frame is a 2013 model and not according to modern geometry but still very light weight for its age .... πŸ˜€. All I'm saying is no need to spend 2 arms and 2 legs (~R240k) to have a lightweight capable bike.
  4. The Titan is good enough to compete if they optimize the weight in future. Agree, I will also not pay R110k for 1 kg, BUT there are other options, S-Works is not the be all and end all of low weight bikes.
  5. The only slight negative for me on this bike is the frame weight. If that can be sorted in future it can for sure compete with the best brands.
  6. I don't think you will make a mistake, the quality is good and is working 100% for me.
  7. Yes I did, more than a year ago on special, so somewhat cheaper than the current price ... πŸ˜€
  8. According to the calibration cert I got with it, the accuracy is pretty good.
  9. I got one of these, work 100%: https://evobikes.co.za/product/axis-torque-wrench-set-2-24-nm/

One more win in TdF and he can retire .... πŸ€ͺ😁
  12. Surprisingly mine stayed up even through yesterdays 8 hour long outage.
  13. I'm a Polar fan, so via Polar Flow, any and all of my exercises makes it way to Discovery / Vitality. As long as I use my V650 or Vantage V or H10 to record the session, no problem.
  14. True, I don't have small kids in the house anymore .
  15. It might work, if you use the 12V/1.5A oulet you for sure wont blow it and it might work depending if the monitor will still work at 12V or not. Does your UPS also have a 220V AC output? If yes you can put the monitor's power supply on that.
  16. No it works perfectly well like this. You basically "store" all the energy you possibly can from the days sun into the geyser, eliminating the need to heat it from the grid. When shower or washing the dishes however you must mix with cold water otherwise you will get a nasty burn ....
  17. Not sure of others but mine keep on heating the geyser while the sun shines REGARDLESS until it hit 75 deg, only then it stop. That happen some days in summer but not always. The temp setting on the gesyerwise display/control unit have no influence on it what so ever. That only control the Eskom power should the temp drop below the specified value and it fall in the time slots as programmed.
  18. Max temp is 75 deg, then the MPPT stop pushing power to the geyser element.
  19. True, luckily I got plenty of space on the roof. Already got 10 x 455W panels up there and there is space for a lot more.
  20. The advantages as I see it: 1.) Easy install, replace the geyser element with a dual element, install PV panels and MPPT controller and mount the geyserwise display panel inside the house, thats it. 2.) No plumbing required. 3.) No paying for gas, the sun is for free. 4.) Even if Eskom is off during the day, the geyser gets heated. Disadvantages: 1.) Heat up slower compared to Eskom heating, but with a bit of planning, I'm using zero Eskom on the geyser. 2.) In Winter you might need to supplement with Eskom heating. 2.) Cant think of anything else ....
  21. Those were the days ... 😁 I think I haven't see a nice skaaf like that since my woodwork days at school.
  22. One time spray and that particular dog will not chase down a cyclist again .... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  23. Last time I checked a bike dont have a heart beat, so it cant be alive or dead .... πŸ€ͺ I see it this way, if you can ride it and its fun, its most certainly alive regardless of the wheel diameter !!!
  24. I got 2 x 12V 7Ah GEL batteries on my garage door, working like a charm. Not sure why 2 x Li wont be able to push enough current ... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  25. Thanks AndrΓ©, but that doesn't help me much ... I'm pretty sure the unit is legit. Will keep trying to contact them.
