  1. It depend on the inverter, if its a cheap chinese make, it will probably pop. If its a reliable brand it would "trip" before the inverter is damaged. Hope that answer your question.
  2. Look like the graphing of data on yours is much better than on my Lux-Power .... 😞
  3. This will be my next unit. If only it can sync my training data with Polar Flow 🙈.
  4. Was he hit by a car or did he fall?
  5. That's why I like my system much more, there is a dual element in the geyser (take power from 2 PV panels or Eskom). So the geyser is heated by PV electrical power and not pump water through vacuum tubes or similar. Install is also a lot simpler, zero plumbing required.
  6. I hear you, its a constant effort to educate the ladies in the house that even though we spent a lot on our system, that does not mean we can turn on everything at the same time. Luckily my geyser is running independently on its own PV & MPPT controller, so at least that is not an additional load on the inverter. We hardly ever pull more than 4kW from the inverter, but that is only because I watch & monitor the usage like a hawk .... ðŸĪĶ‍♂ïļðŸ™ˆ Edit: Bad sun days is the worst, especially a few in a row. This requires careful planning to keep things going. And then also in our area the infrastructure is k@k to say the least, we had multiple longer than 24 hour outages in the past.
  7. Agree with you on this, you can never have two much battery capacity and you need the panels to be able to charge them. 5.5kW inverter would be sufficient for more than most households.
  8. Yip, mine is almost back to normal but not 100% the same as before ...
  9. Also, there were 2 guys there and 2 bikes, They are MTB's not hikers !!! Should have known better. So I stand by my point, both of them are idiots for "camping out" at that spot. I agree with @droo he was lucky to come away with only a broken ankle. Not that a broken ankle is a walk in the park, it took me more than 6 months to sort of recover from mine.
  10. Utter stupidity imho ... ðŸĪĶ‍♂ïļ
  11. If the "lady" is at fault, the "lady" should pay for sure .... ðŸĪŠðŸĪĶ‍♂ïļ
  12. I agree with you in principle. Perception work both ways, can be good or bad. Unfortunately too many things are based on perception. Each of us look at bikes differently and compare different features to make up our minds on what bike we like or want to buy. A proper set of objective things to compare would be awesome but we will for sure not all agree on what should be included on that list. In the end make up your own mind based on your own reference and ride what you like and like what you ride .... Eish, I'm being very philosophical today ... ðŸĪŠðŸ™ˆ.
  13. I have some Shimano SPD and Look Quarts pedals spare if you would like to try them out for free before buying ... PM me if interested. Where in Gauteng are you?
  14. Thanks @Frosty, appreciated.
  15. AGREE, and I will stick to my 2013 RM frame.
  16. @Frosty Did you get the wifi display/control unit for your geyserwise? How is it working?
  17. I got a quote a while back when I was seriously interested, it was R19k without everything.
  18. En ðŸ’Đ praat is die lekkerste een van die drie ... ðŸĪŠðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚
  19. Please guys cool down a bit, really no need to get agro with each other over this. Bottom-line, BA needs to look seriously at the way they work going forward. That business model will almost 100% certain not be part of the future, they need to adapt or die, simple as that.
  20. 😂😂 ... 100% true, but some of us do have at least one bicycle worth of weight around the mid section, in that case, better to get rid of that FIRST ... And yet, weight weenies (like me) is still concerned with bike weight ... 🙈
  21. Agree, I used to run with GT2000. I'm trying HOKA Arahi 6 at the moment, also a stability shoe for pronation, so far so good. They are softer and more comfy than the GT1000/2000 but not sure how durable and long they will last.

    Mark Cavendish

He did "surf solo" in the past and got wins, so maybe he can again ... But yes, he need to be back at previous best to get a win in TdF and I'm not so sure he can get there again.
  23. R130k doesn't seem excessive, it IS excessive, I don't care who you are or what your point of reference is .... ðŸĪŠðŸ˜. Bring the axes, I'm ready .... 😂

    Mark Cavendish

No offence, but I hope you wrong this time ... ðŸĪŠ Even if he can get only ONE win, I would be very happy .
