  1. I actually did, still prefer Shitmano. imho the only instance where SCRAM got it better is AXS vs Di2, and I chose Archer D1x Trial because its much cheaper than both the big names and it "shift everything" ....
  2. OK then. I'm very happy with my 8-9 year old Shitmano XT's, thank you.
  3. And that is your opinion .... 🙈😁😂
  4. Nope, don't agree at al !!!
  5. I'm very aware his is very different. I'm questioning it purely because he puncher so much and specifically at the rear .... I am very happy with my Maxxis Aspen 2.4 and will gladly keep using them.
  6. Its a bit concerning the number of punctures Nino get, during the Epic and now again. Maybe time to seriously consider a change in tire brand/model ? Edit: As far as I know most of his punctures are on the rear wheel. I'm using Aspens 2.4 for a while now with zero issues. Maybe his version on the back is just to "racy & thin".
  7. Yea that was awesome, unfortunately he burnt too many matches to catch up and didn't have enough left to counter the final onslaught by Dascalo and Pidcock.
  8. You probably correct, I have zero experience on XTR brakes. XTR is supposed to be better/lighter than XT especially at a much higher cost.
  9. I cant agree. I have old XT's (the shiny silver ones) on both my bikes, they are 200% consistent and reliable.
  10. At 5 -6 Nm I'm pretty confident that my Axis is accurate enough for my purposes. For something like 2 Nm I would not trust it much, however there is nothing on my bike that require that low torque.
  11. My thoughts exactly .... . For the crank and cassette, they need to be very tight, so as someone else said, "my calibrated wrist" is good enough for that.
  12. I got one of these: https://solomonscycles.co.za/products/axis-torque-wrench-set/ Cover most of what I need. As mentioned the crank & cassette is the only place where you would need more. I normally do those two on "feeling".
  13. Its flippen cold enough already !!! Dont jinx it, you will be the cause if we hit neg temps next week ... 😋
  14. NX cassette on my IDT is working 100%. But yes, never on a bike ....
  15. I also didn't have issue with them in the past, BUT, my neighbor told me last week he did. Also couldn't get hold pf them and the shop installing in Jhb closed down. He ended up doing a full wrap on his Santa Cruz.
  16. Are you referring to Derore/XLS specifically or Shimano 12sp in general? I'm running XT and XTR 12sp combo with the Archer D1x Trial shifter, the shifting is not only very good & crisp, its perfect (even under power), don't think shifting can get any better ....
  17. Nothing wrong with a SLX cassette, a bit heavy but that's it. I would however pair it with a XT derailleur.
  18. Well its clearly too long and not what you looking for. Your only option is to resell and search for the correct one.
  19. Alberton, so a bit far from you ...
  20. Pleasure. Also its probably 190.5mm (7.5 inch). These things do work in inches (Shite units !) 190.5 x 44.45 (7.5" x 1.75") but we can confirm once you have the FOX code.
  21. FYI, that does look like 190 (centre to centre) to me. Are you sure you measuring correctly? Edit: What is the 4 digit code on the shock? Can be confirmed on the FOX website with that.
  22. I use H10 for a while now, no issues whatsoever. I have a spare one since I thought I lost mine and bought a new one only to find it later, welcome to make me an offer, its brand new in the box.
  23. M, I got a front shifter (XT) if you want to give that a shot.
  24. Nice ride Martin? Think I need to go give that area a try sometime.
  25. No me !!!!!
