Bingo. He just needs to be able to identify whose strongest on the day and stick with him.

Pog will do the same but Jon has to keep himself in the game because his team can't

After yesterday, I'm sure WvA and SK (if and when he recover) can and will support/help him.

My riding style is hard, fast, loose and generally when I see a rock garden I don't seek the line, I make one. Usually a straight one, at speed. When I see a jump, albeit gap or table, I send case it. When I see a drop, I drop. I don't think they have me in mind as the target market.

They (fulcrum wheels) lost me the moment I read the following:

"Red Zone 7s are aluminium Cross Country-Marathon wheels that perform well both as training wheels or when alternated with racing wheelsets. They are also ideal for those who are becoming acquainted with mountain biking and..."

They are much better than those words suggest, but granted maybe not for you ... ????

    Is it really? 2k?

That is nuts. 36 ring is awesome for MTB. I have the 54 on my road bike. I'm a fan

Had many pairs of Hope Hubs and a set of 240s with the 36 rings.

My theory these days is that 'generic' hubs have caught up with the 'performance' brands to a point where diminishing returns on investment start playing out.

My Lyne rear hub is still spinning perfectly after a fair amount of abuse at a fraction of the cost.

    Yip, I bought a 54 a while back R1.8k.

Seems Pogacar is more suited to the cold days than the hot ones. Yesterday was relatively warm and he wasn't lightyears ahead of everyone.

So at best the GC contenders will hope for warm days and then attack him relentlessly, if they can, until something sticks.

Paris is still some way off.

The commentators mentioned that yesterday, apparently TP doesn't like the heat much at all.

Our man on the ground said they would work for Vingegaard.

    I'm glad Wout didn't listen.

Wout got his stage win, now he can focus on helping JW and maybe help himself into the top ten also.

I know no-one cares, but Maincheese moved up a few places in the GC yesterday. With a good run in the Pyrenees, he can be knocking on the door of a top ten.

On the Pogacar thing, the bottom line is if he could have stayed with Vingegaard he would have. This nonsense of "he chose to not follow" is, well, nonsense. Sure, he didn't crack open like a piñata, but at the moment he simply didn't have the legs.

LM in 16th, nice Louis, keep going.  Also WvA is up in 13th, surely he can end up in the top 10 if he wants to.

I see the gaps to the top 10 is pretty big however ... ????

I think he didn’t need to go into the red today, so he didn’t. Little TC today so that he can suip some more in the next week.

Yes he didn't need to but if he could he would have gone with Wingegaard, no doubt in my mind.

More importantly, it shows he is not invincible, now at least there is a glimmer of hope for the other guys especially JW, before yesterday there was no hope in hell !

How do I explain to my wife the existence of different types of riders in the peloton if Wout comes 2nd to the greatest Sprinter yesterday and then he rides people off his wheel on Mont Ventoux...?

    With difficulty .. ???? ???? ????

Too soon to be get excited about WvA sticking with the front group?

He's got a proper descent on him. JA is going to need a BIG time gap on him at the next passage to stay away.

We can dream ... I would love to see Wout take a stage!

Ineos have Thomas on the front pulling the bunch, Clearly he isn't hoping to get close to a top 10 GC then.

No working for Carapaz, trying to put TP under pressure so that Carapaz can hopefully benefit, but I dont see that happening, TP simply to strong.
