Do you want to shorten just to save the crank?

Shortening is a very complicated and laboursome job. You cannot just drill a hole and tap it.

It is quite easy and safe to just fix the loose insert.

the hardest is cleaning the cavity, then drilling a hole to inject resin into the cavity formed by the loose insert and then keeping it aligned while setting, so that your pedal does not have a wobble.

Graeme can fix it back to perfect for you, check his instagram, he has done it loads before.

And PS, stop using crank boots.

Agree.  The insert was bonded in there originally anyway.  No reason why its not possible for a carbon expert to build up and bond it in again.

Dude I'm gonna start importing cars. Will you pay R700 000 for them?

Promise they're good. Other people drive them in other countries, some even race with them.

They have Michelin tyres, and leather seats.

Promise they're worth R1.4mil if you compare them with cars that cost R1.4mil.

Are you starting to see how pointless this discussion is without knowing the brand? If it's a Ferrari I'm selling, absolute win. If it's a wang chong fui with ferrrary stickers on it, not so much.

Agree, its not possible to give any kind of opinion or general commitment if we have no clue about the actual product.  It may be a bust it maybe not, but before we don't know this ...  pfff !

we sit on two silvers and a gold.

I can only see a possible medal from the 4x100m men, which starts on thursday.

with three making the semi final, we've surely got a shot here. (USA and GBR also had 3 at this stage,)

anything else that could sneak in?

Its a long shot, but we have some good marathon runners (men & woman), just maybe someone can pull a "Josia Thugwane".

Comments from management being that they not there to babysit. That environment and of athlete is exactly what you doing in order to make sure they perform optimally.

When this is managements view you know that they are totally incapable of the job expected to be done and should never be there in that environment.

as said in a previous post - same old same old every year and until athletes band together and take a stance and make sure people are held accountable, can’t see anything change going forward.

Its really very sad!!!  Looking at how well other nations support their athletes, its extremely disappointing that ours are simply NOT.

With the current state of the SA Postal service, anyone ordering online?

IF yes, how long is the leadtime to receive the parts?

I did manage to get a parcel through SAPO via Alliexpress last month, and yes it took very long, something like 30+ days (lost track).

It is a lot more expensive, but I will not buy again without a known courier.

YES! WR Swim! Our 1st gold for this edition of the Games!

Yip, I called it, well done Tatjana!!!  As a fellow old UP student, it warms the heart.  That's what it take for a South African to medal, extraordinary individual brilliance.  Unfortunately the administrators and support are severely lacking.

If any Olympian mtb'er needs a hug its really Ondrej Cink, really was on his way to Bronze when he flatted in  big way and had to walk a long way back to the tech zone,  DNF.

Yes shame, he was very upset at the time.

yes they look very similar indeed! you say it works 100's for home use? at the moment im using a manual espresso machine with a separate grinder, it works fine, but SARS smiled on me and I'm thinking "why not..."

Yes 100 cement for home use, I use mine everyday, I'm a bit of a addict.  Its about 8 years old still going strong.  Had it serviced a month ago for the first time.

I've only watched her 100m final.

What I don't understand is that if she seems to be even better suited to the 200m, how did she tire and get overhauled in the 100m? Did the alaskan swim some bizarre negative split?

Not sure, I missed the race.  100m is a "short all out effort", maybe bad reaction time or timing on the touch down.  She clearly said the 200m is her better event, lets hold thumbs.
