  1. I have the following to sell: 1. Around 1986 Bianchi Frame with Groupset - this frame is a nickel plated metal frame that's been resprayed. 2. Shimano Dura ace Groupset - no idea of year model See full details in the classified section PM me for more photos and details
  2. I also experienced an irritating creaking sound while pedalling. Changed and replace BB, Peddles, Pivot bearings but still the sound was there. Discovered last night that there is play on the rear wheel. Putting the bike on its wheels you can hear the sound when moving the wheel from left to right in the frame. The same happens when applying pressure to the peddles the force on the cassette create the same movement and noise. The culprit seems to be some play between the axle and the Thru axle. Its a Bontrager hub with an aluminium axle going through the bearings and then fastened with the thru axle. Will replace the bearings and the aluminium axle tonight and see what happens. Will also add some pictures as I think my explanation might not be 100% clear
  3. Great idea - where are you based in Jhb. I'm in westrand. I would suggest that we don't exclude road cycling as well as a lot of us do both.
  4. Hi All, - From The Meatblock wishing you all a blessed Christmas and a great new year. Looking forward to see the results and progress on the next two Mondays.
  5. Just a little teaser - what your prize could consist off: We'll make sure it is lean meat unless you ask for Banting
  6. Great I am watching with interest
  7. We can always arrange to send you some decent biltong and droewors, replacing the fresh meat.
  8. Eddy I agree with your proposal with a few amendmends: 1. Entries to the competition will close 15 December 2015 2. All entrants to post there weight and maybe a photo before 15 Dec 3. All entrants to post there weight every Monday 4. Somebody to put this on a spreadsheet so that we can trace weekly progress 5. I will change the closing date to 31 January 2016 6. Participants to publish what they did to loose weight at the end to benefit others 6. Add any rules that I have left out. We will sponsor a Meat Hamper to the value of R500 to the winner (must collect at our shop in Randburg)
  9. Weimaraner1 "- Upgrading the software is easy, download it to your laptop, plug in the charger unit between the computer and the unit and follow the instructions. The mtb DI2 is a bit more involved. Play around with it the etube software is very user friendly" Help me here - I assume that you have the later version of DI2 with the internal battery and the charging that's done via the front control unit. How do I do this firmware upgrade on the older version with an external battery - I assume I need a special cable.
  10. Jy kan asb vir my ook die Pm stuur as jy nie omgee nie - dankie
  11. We entered at 8:07 yesterday and already was no 120. Great to be in - now training must start.
  12. Sorry to hear about your loss - We were also parked in that area and the way the so called carguard (Security) followed us from the entrance to our car and hang around looking exactly what we do made me feel uncomfortable. I then took our bikes off the Thule and load them inside the car and locked. The moment we did that he left. Don't ever trust this so-called event security people.
  13. Really not worth the R20 parking fee.
  14. HaHa well spotted - They are actualy Brokers, that's AON and very good ones as well. as far as I know they use mainly Santam and Old Mutual as underwriters. I am not associated or involved just a satisfied customer.
  15. A few years back I had a similar claim with AON. I was quite happy to get the frame repaired and resprayed as the crack really was nothing serious. They however insisted to replace the frame in order to avoid any future liability should the frame break.
  16. Wish you goodluck. I am currently recovering from Rotary cuff surgery. Its now 4 months and still some pain and mobility issues. Only started cycling two weeks ago. Something I learned - do not miss any Physio cessions because if it change to a Frozen Shoulder the recovery time and pain doubles.
  17. Thanks Gummi I should have mentioned our downhill guys as well. Greg was awesome - can 2 sec be that long
  18. Our ladies team currently participating in Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l'Ardèche in France are really making us proud. During the first 6 stages team members were consistently under the top ten and yesterdays stage was won by Anli Kachelhoffer. It's great what the womens commission are doing for the ladies - thanks Lisa - just a pity that this is not a big splash on the news as it should be.
  19. If you want I have some pants and shirts available that's now too big for me - seeing that you are looking at an XL frame - that you can have
  20. I have this Bianchi not sure of the model to sell. I finished the build with an old Suntour groupset excluding wheels and BB. Anybody that can give me an estimate on the value. Frame was cleaned of all old paint and whole frame was I think nickel plated. Then resprayed, decals added and clearcoated. Will post some pictures of current status later.
  21. PM me and I will put you in touch with an excellent mechanic that's just starting up his workshop
  22. A bit of a highjack but does anyone use the live tracking feature on the 810. If you do how does it impact on the battery life of your telephone that is the real communicator to the tracker.
  23. Net een groot plesier Ons gaan om dit te geniet so hoe groter die groep wat saamry en ondersteun hoe beter.
  24. Hi Denis B - we entered a 4 man team and two members got injured so only 2 left. Depending on what time you're looking at you more than welcome to do a slow ride with us. Target anything from 16 to 18 hours if all goes VERY well.
