  1. I want to agree with your disagreement Mnr Gemmer, as you’ve shown us.
  2. ???????? Fools? You are sublimely unencumbered by erudition and sagacity, possessed of a vast lacuna of probity, and not unequal in excellence to the mighty boreal terminus of a proud austral-dwelling equine. Met under woorde, ‘tsek. ???????? Garage? Sacrilege. Bikes are lined up in the entrance hall awaiting daily action.
  3. ???? Fully agree. Iit’s heartening to see how young sportspersons have no truck with racism, apart from those cricket match fixers who were shown up for their lies this week. Also, I may be a toppie now but, over the decades, you should have seen how well beautiful women from almost all of SA’s language groups and I played together. ????
  4. Who would have thought? Anyone support the "Small Dong March” this past weekend? Turns out it got loads of support, just got bigger and bigger.
  5. Yho!! I see loadsa people, including radio talk hosts and news hosts, with zero insight or nuance done lost their minds against QdK.
  6. Up to 3XL sizes here and ad says “make an offer”. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/jerseys/508905/clothing-xl-xxl-sizes
  7. I caught the tail end of a radio interview with a SA journalist (missed hearing the name unfortunately) at the T20 WC. He said that QdK regards kneeling as a trite gesture and is doing meaningful things (not elaborated) while rejecting any publicity for his endeavours. Interestingly, there are a few black footie players who don’t kneel. Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace refuses to do so as he believes the protest has lost any impact and is “degrading, I’d rather stand tall”. Brentford’s Ivan Toney is another. I understand the original intent of the gesture but I’m still struggling to get my head around CSA's monumental stupidity with this decision. I’d love to know how it was made as there are several people of distinguished legal standing and integrity on that board.
  8. I simply love disclosing how Pres Rama reduced Arce Moegoeshule to tears as soon as he arrived before Moegoeshule’s tens-of-millions (I forget the exact amount) Free State farewell function. “And here you sit crying while wasting R?? million on a party in a province with half of all the bucket toilets in South Africa!?” From someone in the room: He’s done the same with Mabuza. I hear that Ramaphosa behind closed doors is a LOT tougher than he seems. Closer to topic: I also freely share accidentally seeing a minister of sport do a young male hotel worker in a linen room down a quiet passage while I was trying to find someone to explain how to get to the dining room from a rear hotel entrance. Happened at the Marion on Nichol where five ministers, their wives and three other couples had hired the entire hotel for a Valentine’s weekend and I arrived to fetch a remote gate control from one of those couples. Located the dining room where the minister’s wife was tucking into her lunch while her hubby tucked into a young lightie. ???????? Dirty beast. Moral: C’mon l43rcake, in the interest of truth.
  9. Can’t understand how CSA thinks it’s any better forcing a player to kneel in the name of “unity” against the way that player has personally negotiated the issue. A serious case of cognitive dissonance and also stupendously idiotic imo.
  10. My medical aid did cover it, requires a GP’s referral. Stress ECG took all of 25 minutes (biokineticists do this too) before I walked back to my car. Further diagnostics may involve blood analytics, echocardiography (ultrasound imaging), one of a few other imaging techniques if a closer look is required. Many of us require just the first two or three steps. All were covered in my case.
  11. "i look for a young kid whose dad mom or sibling has ridden and gotten a medal i then gift the kid my medal” Errr… Rory, say WHAT? Is your attorney aware of this admission?
  12. Single bottle bosses and top tube internal cable routing makes that a Slade Trail. Excellent choice, and hard to find now. I’m told they’re very good on the techy trails, right?
  13. Exactly. Mates ask why I even keep me cars when I cycle wherever I go and me kids are long out the house, no need to ferry anyone around. Those old cars get a weekly drive and are only still in the garage ‘cos they’ve dramatically increased in value. Cycling for the win.
  14. ???????? I imagine there must have been a few around during your surfing-dive-windsurfing adventures. I saw a few while surfing Transkei and Slummies and Seal Point, J Bay just one sighting. Spent most of a year just surfing our coast and was often first in the water. How glad was I when Californian Ward Walkup hit Seal Point before me and was chased back by an inquisitive beast of a specimen. I suspect it may have been a bit of (wait) out of mind out of sight for you. ????
  15. A case of your facts spoiling my ragged yarn?
  16. * correction Her straw hat was found floating. Granny however, nada. A dank version of an old club in my city’s “bag a granny” nights.
  17. Spursy? They’ve been even more spursy than usual though ...
  18. *toppie Seraj ain’t no back marker, he ain’t no toppie (some of my fellow IRL toppies may even deal a surprise). He and Etnard achieved a great result. Much much respect!!
  19. ???????????????? Naaisssss work.
  20. Very kewl Sunday groove. Factoid: Just a few years ago the producer had lost all verbal and music skills completely after two brain ops, since recovering she has had loads of industry acclaim for her collaborations.
  21. And now for a brief crossing to a councillor out on the local election campaign:
  22. Nah, there’s an epidemic of violent crime across the UK. I read the right-leaning Mail and the lefty Mirror daily and there are daily reports of teens being stabbed or panga’d by other teens. Also, 1 500 drug dealers arrested in just the last week. I see Mattie Dodds had 6 bikes stolen from him in London last week. A few examples from just one news source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10114193/Police-launch-manhunt-attacker-schoolboy-13-stabbed.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9979395/Boy-16-stabbed-death-city-high-speed-car-chase.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10114163/County-Lines-crackdown-sees-police-arrest-1-500-suspected-drug-dealers-seize-3m.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9990345/Kind-caring-aspiring-musician-16-stabbed-death-machete.html
  23. Meanwhile, on the local election campaign trail...
  24. CYCLIST DELIVERS COMEUPPANCE! I was cycling through the boom gate of a university main campus a little more than an hour ago. Notwithstanding the flashing lights mounted on the back of the helmet and seat post a truck sped through the entrance with such speed that the big wing mirror passing a couple of inches from my ear might have taken my head off. It felt that way. Would've been my first knockdown since my boss sent me flying off my road bike 35 years ago. Still have the deep scar. Followed the truck to where it stopped on campus. I’d started recording and was lucky enough to catch his colleague jumping off the back of the truck going “Is jy befok!? You almost drove the larnie MOERTOE! Didn’t you see his Christmas liggies?” ???????????? DELICIOUS TWIST He works for a long-time client of mine who's also an avid cyclist who will in the next few minutes be receiving the video. Heeee!!!!
