  1. So much you could have done in the time it took you to rant about something you can never change.
  2. Yeah... never had that and I have shoes that are older than my bike. Change your soap man.
  3. Never wrecked a pair of shoes, gloves, or a helmet with regular thorough washing. What was your experience?
  4. This sounds like a good reason to drive 13 hours.
  5. Keep shopping. Find a Momsen Vipa even. Great endurance and stage race machine.
  6. The bonus is you can scoop up what leaks out of your Ford to lube your chain.
  7. Busy lives = the need for fast and efficient order process and delivery The economy is screwed = the need for the lowest price
  8. Back to this one again. Decided on Bergville but I see the last post from Cathkin Trails is that they closed the trails in December due to flood damage. I can't find any further information about this. Anyone know?
  9. 11spd worked flawlessly 12spd worked less than flawlessly. (Including a brand new XTR derailleur that grenaded itself) Like I said. Personal experience. No need to elaborate further.
  10. I'd personally go for 1x11. Still great range and performs better than most 12spd setups. (Personal opinion and experience. Put away the torches)
  11. Wolwespruit at best has the pump track. Same really with Grootfontein. Big Red Barn is definitely the best. So much more than just the trail for them to do. You have the Acrobranch, trampolines, play area etc. I think you can arrange to take your own cake etc with as well etc.
  12. Super impressed with my Decathlon running vest. Works like a dream.
  13. Hi all Does anyone know if there are any valid promo codes out for Wahoo X aka Systm aka Sufferfest? Bit strapped for cash and that $149 is going to hurt this time of year.
  14. Make sure the freehub seal isn't the wrong way round. Some of them are directional.
  15. Lots of great advice here. I rode and raced on clipless for years but as I got older I experienced more and more discomfort and pain in my feet. I'm at the point now where I can't even ride for 20 minutes before my toes go numb and the outside of my feet start hurting. It sucks because I like the feel of clipless on the XC bike. Trail bike spends more time in the air so I prefer flats there. But this isn't a clipless vs flats debate. Top tip: - Learn to clip in on a nice big piece of grass because you will go down a couple of times while getting used to it. That big area at the Red Barn restaurant is perfect for it. - Do at least 50 stops and clip in and out before venturing onto the trail. - Keep reminding yourself to clip out before you stop. - Set your pedals as loose as possible at the start to help you get out quickly
  16. Same here. You are welcome to pop round and chat about it. Send me a DM.
  17. Happen to have a set of the latest ones. Heavy but so good. Too bad about I can’t get my feet to like being clipped in.
  18. Tried everything so far. Different sets of pedals, three different pairs of shoes, bike fit. Short of spending thousands more on a podiatrist I just gave up and went back to flats. 30 minutes and the numb toes and pain starts. Not worth it. I don’t need the extra little bit of performance clipless offers.
  19. Sure there are better ways but this has never let me down.
