  1. Not yet. It is on my watch list though.
  2. I have been watching these guys build this Mini. Amazing skills!
  3. Blew through "Safe" on Netflix. Not impressed. Plot was a bit thin although it did have it's twists but the acting was terrible. Scored 7.4/10 in IMDB. Been watching reruns of "West Coast Customs" which can be mildly entertaining and "Fastest Car " as well which again is mildly interesting watching 4 drivers go head to head with cars from all walks of life. Started "Aquarius" last night with David Duchovny. Looks like it could be a winner. It's David Duchovny so watching this with an open mind ready to be surprised by the unexpected!
  4. I wasn't aware of the tannin levels in wood. Was interesting to see the application of tea to the wood to get the desired level of ebonising. Seems like a simple enough process.
  5. William Dunlop was killed on Saturday during practice for the Skerries 100 in Ireland. RIP William. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/motor-racing/william-dunlop-dead-crash-video-skerries-100-family-retirement-funeral-latest-news-a8438476.html
  6. Just finished Peaky Blinders. Really enjoyed the series. Need to find a suitable replacement now...
  7. Steel wool and vinegar does the trick. https://youtu.be/kTFO4jHglSc
  8. Regarding Rel Debrid.... I am not currently using Kodi to stream. I have a subscription to Netflix which is keeping me happy so far and the quality of the streams is great. I have installed Mobdro on my Android box to watch live TV but those streams are a bit hit and miss (No VPN. Had Getflix but cancelled and have seen no difference to what we usually watch) Will having a Real Debrid account improve the Mobdro stream quality?
  9. Looks like Netflix may be the better option based on content
  10. Is anybody using Amazon Prime without a VPN? Busy trialing the Netflix free monrh but also want to maybe have a look at Amazon Prime as well if it will work
  11. Imagine that beast at the Erzberg prologue!
  12. That looks like it belongs in the house not in the garage...!!

They do have bits as well. Will see what the cost is
  14. I don't think I have met anybody that has a vitality age the same as their actual age... I am 47 this year and my Vitality age is 51
  15. Is using your phone an option to record the HR data? I have been using my phone to record the HR data with Samsung Health and that uploads automatically. All Vitality are interested in is the HR data. My Garmin HR Belt is recognized by my S7 so that helps. When I ride I use the Garmin mounted to my bars to see the info I need while the S7 also records the data for Vitality points. Use the Suunto to track the training part so you can edit etc and then use your phone to record the HR data?
  16. Yeah we sat down to watch it with the kids last night. I just couldn't do it. Usually if a movie hasn't grabbed me within the first 15 minutes, I call it and move on. Kids ended up watching it on their PC in the bedroom and mom and I watched some more GOT. (We are nearing the end of S07 now.... not sure what we are going to do afterwards....)
  17. Black Panther..... started watching it last night. I managed to stay seated for the first 10 minutes. Then I had other more important things to take care of. (Dishes, laundry, clean the kitchen, polish my shoes etc) Based on the first few minutes, I am not sure what all the fuss was about. I doubt that I will have the mental strength to try and watch it again.

I gave Hire-It a call yesterday about hiring a rotary hammer drill. Deposit of R1500 and a hire cost of R235 a day. If I collect after 3:30pm on Friday, they don't charge for that day. I pay for Saturday and seeing as they are closed on Sunday, there is no charge for that day. Drop of on Monday morning. I have to drive past them on my way to and from work so no detour required either! The plan for now is to plan all the drilling jobs in advance and try and get them all done in a weekend. I will probably go and buy the bits I need (5mm, 6mm and 8mm) and borrow my friends 22mm long reach drill to drill through the walls for the outside plugs and plumbing pipes. Maybe hiring is the way to go after all. Keen to see what other tools they have on offer.

I dunno hey.... My old house used to eat cheap masonry bits. They knew how to make bricks in the old days! I drilled a few holes in my new house with the hammer drill and it took some effort. With that Rotary hammer and the SDS bits however..... felt like cheating!! I seriously thought that there was something wrong with the bricks! Mounted some equipment in the garage and drilling a few 14MM holes into the slab for rawl bolts was a one handed operation!

Yes I know..... I had to buy a 14mm SDS bit..... R171 for a Ruwag bit and there were more expensive ones hanging up!

Thanks but that is a std hammer drill. (Same as the one that I have at the moment) This is the one I saw http://www.bosch-professional.com/za/en/rotary-hammer-with-sds-plus-gbh-2-20-d-131445-061125a400.html Edit: The Powerplus is rated at 750W and can drill bigger holes in concrete. 26 vs 20mm Impact strength is also higher 3J vs 1,7J

Yes that is the same one I was asking about (I posted the link). It is half the price of the Makita as well. I saw a Bosch Blue for just over R2100 but it didn't have any bits or the chuck adapter. I have a Bosch Blue hammer drill that has served me well but unfortunately used a mate's rotary hammer the other day. Now I know what I have been missing out on....... Edit: Spelling

Just seems like a good addition to the quiver. After a handful of rentals you've basically paid for a new one. I don't think it's a use twice kind of tool. Just moved into a new house so I am sure it will get some use.

Thread revival! I am in the market for a Rotary Hammer Drill. I have been shopping around and some of the pricing on the branded stuff is bringing tears to me wallet... Realistically speaking I am looking at putting up a few shelves, a desk and a few pictures, I will be drilling through a wall or two to mount outside weatherproof plugs and maybe chiseling a groove or two to hide some plumbing. It's not going to be used every weekend and it won't be used for hours on end. Based on the above, I have decided that as much as I would love a Makita/DeWalt/Bosch, my budget doesn't stretch that far. I went onto the Adendorff website and found this rotary hammer made by Powerplus It looks to be able to do what I need and the price is right. Bonus is the 13mm keyed chuck for steel bits. Has anybody had any experience with the Powerplus Brand?
