  1. It is indeed. I think that there is a fair amount of "damping" through the mount itself as it isn't 100% rigid. There is a little bit of flex in the plastic GoPro arms and there is 3M tape attaching the mount to the shroud as well as to the phone case. I think ultimately I would probably look at making up a road book holder to mount the phone. Something like this one http://jrozar.smugmug.com/Other/KTM-640-Adventure/i-ZCS65Mt/0/L/KTM%20640%20Cockpit-L.jpg
  2. Just fall in line. Take you docs, your phone and some tunes. It goes quickly. Total time for us was about 2hrs including the queue that was wrapped around the parking lot. They were issuing numbers outside in the parking lot [emoji106]
  3. Yeah, that's what we figured. We'll keep the docs for next year because they will ask for them When she does the next submission...
  4. I took all my supporting documents with because I have been audited for 5 years on the trot. My return has not changed. I have to go in anyway as we claim medical expenses on my Mom inlaw and SARS requires 12 months bank statements to prove payment which I can't upload electronically... Waiting patiently for the results. My wife was selected for audit and was asked to submit documents. Next day she received her refund without submitting documents....
  5. Chill bro. It is centred vertically and the left hand side lines up with the edge of the box below it.
  6. In town, it lives in my pocket. The Sena takes care of the comms and tunes. For navigation, I get voice prompts and if I miss the turn, Google recalculates for me
  7. As promised: What it looks like assembled The bits and pieces from the leftover GoPro mounts box GoPro flat mount attached to the back of a China Mall phone case I had it mounted to my everyday Spigen case but it kept hooking on everything when you tried to get it out your pockets and my patience eventually wore thin so I bought the other case. It does wobble a bit when you are riding but you can still see the screen. I also installed the voltmeter/USB charge port below it so now the phone can be charged off the bike while riding (I used to use a powerbank inside my handlebar bag which worked but this way is better). Edit: With the mounts it is adjustable as well so depending on the sun etc you can compensate for glare. As you can see a cap screw was used so there is some assembly and DIY required
  8. I use my phone. Either Google maps if I am not planning on going too far off the beaten track or OsmAnd for gpx tracks out on the goat paths. Google Earth or Base camp to plot the waypoints and then export as a gpx file. I cobbled a mount together with a few GoPro mounts and a phone cover. Will take some pics and post later.
  9. I recently tested the "new" option on offer from Discovery Insure where you get to pay for a portion of your tyre purchase from TWT with the funds from your Excess Funder Account based on your drive status and it works very well!! New tyres for the Frontier and my trailer. My portion after my Vitality discount and the Drive Status discount came to a little over R1500. Thanks Discovery!!
  10. Lol
  11. Work are supposed to be rolling out Noiseclippers one of these days. I have been using those foam squishy ones on the bike recently but want to try using my buds to cancel out wind noise and also let me listen to the Sena.
  12. And lets not forget hitting an insect at 120....!
  13. Fox V2 Pilot Only issue is the noise when out on the open road and of course riding in the rain but that will be an issue with any MX lid. I run a Sena SMH10 and at anything over 80-100 kph I can't hear a thing. Going to be testing in ear buds plugged into the unit soon to see if that helps.
  14. Blowing past you at 200 in and out of traffic on a Saturday/Sunday morning.....
  15. Not yet. It is on my watch list though.
  16. I have been watching these guys build this Mini. Amazing skills!
  17. Blew through "Safe" on Netflix. Not impressed. Plot was a bit thin although it did have it's twists but the acting was terrible. Scored 7.4/10 in IMDB. Been watching reruns of "West Coast Customs" which can be mildly entertaining and "Fastest Car " as well which again is mildly interesting watching 4 drivers go head to head with cars from all walks of life. Started "Aquarius" last night with David Duchovny. Looks like it could be a winner. It's David Duchovny so watching this with an open mind ready to be surprised by the unexpected!
  18. I wasn't aware of the tannin levels in wood. Was interesting to see the application of tea to the wood to get the desired level of ebonising. Seems like a simple enough process.
  19. William Dunlop was killed on Saturday during practice for the Skerries 100 in Ireland. RIP William. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/motor-racing/william-dunlop-dead-crash-video-skerries-100-family-retirement-funeral-latest-news-a8438476.html
  20. Just finished Peaky Blinders. Really enjoyed the series. Need to find a suitable replacement now...
  21. Steel wool and vinegar does the trick. https://youtu.be/kTFO4jHglSc
  22. Imagine that beast at the Erzberg prologue!
  23. That looks like it belongs in the house not in the garage...!!
  24. I don't think I have met anybody that has a vitality age the same as their actual age... I am 47 this year and my Vitality age is 51
  25. Is using your phone an option to record the HR data? I have been using my phone to record the HR data with Samsung Health and that uploads automatically. All Vitality are interested in is the HR data. My Garmin HR Belt is recognized by my S7 so that helps. When I ride I use the Garmin mounted to my bars to see the info I need while the S7 also records the data for Vitality points. Use the Suunto to track the training part so you can edit etc and then use your phone to record the HR data?
