  1. You guys are like dogs trying to have sex with a football, let me help: No if's and buts...simple Yes or No: Does she come from a country with a tainted history of allowing doping amongst their Olympic athletes? Does she have a history of coronary artery disease? Did she test positive for trimetazidine which is used to treat coronary artery disease, and a banned substance? Is it legal in sports (Olympics)? They teach them young, should ban the whole bladdy lot of them, not just her
  2. Methinks he would get a lot more attention if he followed someone like Barney Bellomo Liborio Bellomo - Wikipedia
  3. Pah.... Wonder what the point is of following the celebs like Musk, he should try some low profile but notorious types, gangsters for example.... the ones that fly under the radar so to speak.
  4. I tried it about 10 years ago for for a couple of months for my running, eventually i gave up as it was to frustrating trying to keep my HR as low as the MAF method requires. Did not see any noticeable gains during this time. Yet there are athletes who swear by it, but I'm a firm believer in mixing it up with easy (MAF) and hard
  5. Ha good question, how long is a ball of string Many countries and many different requirements, some countries are delaying it. For example the USA mandated it from Jan 2020 and RSA it was delayed until some time this year. For the big heavies its not a major issue, its the smaller aircraft owners and operators who are trying to avoid the costs of upgrading ADS-B Update 2021 ADS-B UPDATE 2021 – WHERE ARE WE NOW (universalweather.com)
  6. Groan on Thread drift, the pain of internet forums. The OP should change the title to "Look what happened to me on my bike today" Moderators.... MIA Groan off
  7. Haha your longest run = my weekly mileage if I'm lucky, my marafun days are over. Anyway, I choose the Kayano's because I need the forefoot cushioning and some anti pronation protection. Although the Kayano's might proove to be too much anti pronation protection especially if i start to increase my distances. I've actually run into a problem with the left shoe, the collar around the heel has collapsed inwards and downwards (its kind of hard to explain what is actually happening), which effectively makes it feel loose around the heel and as if my heel is sitting to high or above the shoe. With about 300km on them its probably pointless taking them back to the shop.
  8. A quick spin through the local forest, bitterly cold with very strong winds today... character building weather 😁 Spot the UFO cloud Lots of leaves and mud One path blocked by the forest workers who dragged this fallen tree over the entrance so bikers cannot ride down it
  9. Double post
  10. maybe now pushing by hand instead
  11. Mind boggling considering that the tug they push back with is connected to the nose gear at the front of the plane.... a few meters from the air bridge / cabin door. I'm guessing someone did not move the air bridge far back enough and the open door got hooked up on it as the plane was pushed back Maybe LWB will have a better idea as he should be familar with these kind of "big aeroplane" formalities 😁
  12. Allow me GO LANCE!
  13. Looking down…. Trying to copy Froomies stem breathing technique? Seriously though, this is could be a career threatening event and most likely his 2022 season is history. Cycling aside, I he recovers fully to lead a healthy life and makes a cycling comeback
  14. Or he will meet his maker sometime soon
  15. Thats ok, I'm not "real" runner either
  16. If you have to ask, you probably cant afford it

  22. Team Q have had good TV coverage, especially on the English Euro Sport channel were the various commentators would always mention them... Sponsors appreciate that kind free of coverage that comes without having to have podium results. Problem is its only with the English speaking world and in Europe its more beneficial to have continental European (German, French, Spanish, Italian..etc...) contacts, and of course roots in Europe. Location, location, location... IMO they gave it a good go, and can be extremely proud of what they achieved!

  24. One thing to consider.... whichever system you choose the chances are you will stick with it and its software for the rest of your life. This means all your training history will be stored in whichever system software you choose. If 10 years down the line you want to change systems, then your training history wont follow to the new system. Yes apps like strava help to negate this issue. Somewhere around 19voetsak I started using a Polar watch for heart rate measurement while running long before I started cycling, and before garmin made similar watches. Still using polar today and quite happy with them. (M460 cycling computer and Grit X Pro wrist watch) I have a garmin watch for golf because polar do not do golf courses and the required info needed for playing golf. No doubt garmin are simply huge in the GPS product market. Good luck
