  1. Hey Roger i can’t help with a diet program but I would like to share what works for me…. My names Jack and I’m a sugar and food junkie who eats because it tastes nice and not because I need to eat…. yet my weight has remained +/- 4 kg constant since 1985…. In 85 I weighed 85kg, today I weighed 89kg. Your biggest weapon in the weight loss quest is a reliable bathroom scale that you use to weigh yourself EVERY MORNING at the same time. Weighing should be done just after you wake up and had your first pee, barefoot and naked (or shorts only) and BEFORE eating or drinking. The thing is to keep the time and body condition the same every time. This way you can see if your weight changes under the same conditions and take immediate action if required. Too much weight loss (< .5kg) in one day is not good (probably dehydrated), to much weight gain and the alarm bell 🛎️ should ring and you need to adjust your eating / drinking…. As an educated adult you will know why you picked up weight and shouldn’t need a dietitian or nutritional coach to tell you… just consume less. Drink more water, especially on your training rides. Energy drinks are expensive and only necessary if you plan to ride / train more than 2.5 hrs EACH DAY, Energy bars and gels… pffft the same applies, coffee and croissant stops pfffft….. it’s supposed to be a training ride…. Rather take your camera out and take photos of your mates stuffing their faces for the bikehub “where has your bike taken you” thread. Good luck
  2. The path / method of least resistance. in other words, fully extended / the least compressed
  3. Woke up my Spez Tarmac and went outdoors today instead of using the IDT. The weather is quite balmy for the middle of winter and the roads were nice and dry.
  4. We use an iPad app called pocket inspection at the workshop (aircraft) where I work and take pictures of any visible damage on the exterior and interior. This goes a long way to resolve “ever since you worked on it…” disputes after the aircraft leaves the workshop. These days it’s easy to take pictures and a video with time stamps of your bike when you leave it with the bike shop, and the bike shop can also do something similar as a receiving inspection to protect themselves. Good luck with your claim…..
  5. Hi Spokey, does the RAT have any noticeable affect on the aircrafts trim during flight?
  6. Tragically this same aircraft crashed into the sea near Herlikon Greece shortly after take-off early today. One of the pilots a 62 yr old Indonesian died (RIP) and the other a 32 yr old South African survived. Reasons for the crash are unknown, other than the pilot declared an emergency shortly after take-off.
  7. I thought you were a Bikehub premium member? I wonder how many premium members there are?
  8. End of the line (production line) for a legend https://youtu.be/3XjcUI-hY84
  9. There is always one.... who runs in shorts during freezing temperatures, this one takes the cake though with the T-shirt only as well. His skin is going to be bright red quickly 😁
  10. Been a bit chilly lately, luckily i've had a few days off from work so can manage a jog during the daylight 😆
  11. Maybe someone could give him a pair of lycra cycling shorts for xmas, might keep him from trying to feel others
  12. Very true, thanks for the link! As someone who rides mtb mostly alone often in forested areas it’s reiterated the need to have some sort of tracking available for my wife in the event something goes wrong on the ride. Luckily the cell phone signal coverage here is very good, so it should be quite simple.
  13. Eddy Foole professional athlete? Never heard of the fool Doubt CSA have either, but Ja should be treated the same as if it was conventional doping with sauce
  14. I started online racing over 10 years ago (not with Zwift), it used to be great fun but as IDT became more and more popular so did it become more unbelievable…. Sadly it’s human nature to cheat and there is always at least “one drol in die drink water” We even had a good group of hubbers doing regular races, see the link below. It was really great fun, sadly many of them are no longer active on the hub.
  15. I guess - Asking for many a bikehubber.......
  16. Basically: sick, holiday and winter but planning a comeback 😁 Some might say sick, lame and lazy
  17. Awhile back someone mentioned getting Mike Bolhuis, the sheriff might be the next best 😁
  18. Living and riding in the Souf I very much doubt it 🤙
  19. Welkom…. brings back memories….. Got a speeding fine there one Friday afternoon, the boere were all camped on the side of the road having a braai while operating the speed trap…..Took my girlfriend at the time there for the weekend to go to MX (Think it was Goldfields MX, a great track and the locals always hosted a good event), we were staying at the Holiday Inn. We went to the bar / nightclub in the hotel on Friday night for a meal and had to leave in a rush with the sound of broken glass and bar stools flying as a massive fight broke out at the bar….. Were still married so she must have been impressed 😂
  20. Then with no insult meant, I’d suggest you have lived either a very short or sheltered time on this planet. I’ve unwillingly been involved in fights with sober decent people resulting in black eyes and blood lips just because I tend to squint when in sunlight, that together with my bushy eyebrows makes it look like I’m giving a skeef look… no shite TBH imo a lot of people in SA are walking around with very short fuses, and I’m sure when they return home they are probably quite decent
