    Cricket......

Yes, and hopefully the no 1 test ranking will exchange hands...
  2. Every now and again I see people on the trains with their bikes, but the rules regarding this is a bit fuzzy. I have heard that its not allowed, but then again experience has contradicte this. Its best to give metrorail's helpline a call. The helpline is actually not to bad. When I have a free moment I might give them a call.
  3. In spite of my previous post, at least the guy has provided some decent photographs and not just a picture pulled off the website and he encourages you to contact John O Connor cycles if you want to check the value of the bike. It does lend some credibility to his add.
  4. Well done boys! Lekker to see to youngsters doing us proud!
  5. Maybe a warning should be added to every classified placed by a person with less than say 50 posts. It is not very difficult to get to 50 posts and bypass this but it would reduce the number of bogus / unreliable adds
  6. Yes, nicely after the membership monies have been collected
  7. You've got to give it to Rafa he is a phenomenal player. I am curious to see how the rest of the year will pan out. Djokovic had a crazy year in 2011. I thought he would not be able to keep it up in 2012. He hasn't been at quite the same level, but is still doing brilliantly. Wimbledon will be huge! Still hoping Federer will take it though
  8. Yeah, its always difficult to understand how one guy can do so well and while another struggle with the same car. I'm not a Button fan, but he's still a great driver.
  9. Lekker to see Hamilton back in the lead!
  10. As Lizzy pointed out, there is no practical way to get around it. Besides the challenges are there only for bragging rights . It's suppose to get you to cycle more, and if you do, then well done! I'm doing the commuters challenge and it annoys me to see the others guys log more km's than I do or when I have to miss a couple of days (i.e. the whole of April) So I cycle some more. If I am not at the top then so be it, but generally Ido cycle more. On cold mornings it motivates me to get on the bicycle when I'd rather stay in bed.
  11. A "don't like" button might just start a war. You'll have more hubbers in the negative than anything else. You'll be a saint if your keep your likes and dislikes even.
  12. Well that is why there is race organisers to evaluate, implement and enforce the rules. Rules serve a general purpose, which is usually along the lines of ensuring fair competition and that one person or another is not unfairly advantaged or disadvantaged. If the race organisers take the view that Burry was not unfairly advantaged, they can make that ruling. The only critique that could possibly be given then, is that their was not sufficient transparency regarding the issue. Burry and Christoph is not at fault here, but the integrity of the race organisers are in question. You are right what I believe is irrelevant, but since this is a forum, I may give my opinion. What is important on this issue is the ruling of the race organisers. If you don't like the way they implement the rules, write an email and complain.
  13. I will add some fuel to the debate. Personally I think the opinion of rules are rules are just dumb! That is like approaching a red traffic light in the middle of the night and you notice their is an armed gang. So you choose to stop at the red traffic light, even though the intersection is clear and then get attacked by the gang. Afterwards, you explain that rules are rules, you are not suppose to drive over traffic lights. That is dumb. Now I am not for anyone just going ahead and breaking the rules. However an incident such as this should be reviewed by the race organisers and a decision should then be made whether or not an offence occurred and if it should be penalised. This may or may not have happened. For Burry and Christoph to have been penalised by an hour for this incident, which I believe to be a health issue would have been ludicrous. Similarly, not allowing jackets to KE and DG was a foolish judgement, considering the conditions.
  14. Yip. I still have someone's cycling bag, fell off from beneath his seat on the way from Cape Town to Blaauwberg. I opened a post for that, but got no response. I suppose a it was a long shot, but any shot is better than no shot
  15. Thanks, that was worth a laugh I am under quite a lot of pressure at the moment, and this is a great stress reliever!!!
  16. +1 I have decent light for sticking to the road, but not nearly good enough for hitting the trails. Would really like to test the light before spending R1500 on it, and then find I am not happy about it. Perhaps one can hire the lights at a 24 hour event?
  17. Horses for courses, but this is not for me.
  18. Yes, they stole it at the death. 27-24
  19. That would really cut down on the Sub 3s You can then really be proud to do a sub 3.
  20. I have a Nedbank Account Here is a print screen of the Proof of Payment with some details edited out. I am sure you understand the need for editing some details Anyway, I think the proof of payment they gave you is fake.
  21. No thank you. I'll stick to the traditional helmets. I like looking like a cyclist anyway.
  22. I sent an email to the PPA to ask if they intend to do a seeding run to include the Argus results and their reply was Does anyone else find this odd or even slightly disappointing? I was rather keen to know how I ended off the season in terms of my seeding and whether I was able to push myself up one more group. It is just nice to know and not to have to wonder about it for 6 months. I wouldn't have thought it would be so difficult to do the seeding run and finish off their records for the season. Anyway, guess I will have to wait for spring.
  23. April was a sad month . Not a single km logged and I even managed to break the helmet. Hopefully health will be better in May.
  24. There is the dirty sprocket ride: Wednesday evenings: MTB in Koeberg nature reserve There's another group Tuesdays and Thursday mornings road riding at 8am, they meet in Blouberg
  25. Here is an email I had sent and a response I got from rack and carry. It provides some good info on racks in general. My words in black and the response in red:
