  1. That seems prejudiced toward the reader-type Just because I type slow doesn't mean I sell fake carbon goods. With this post I am building toward that mighty 250 you speak of.
  2. Like most here said already... no need really to get used to it. Just ride it. It will go much faster and less painful than a mtb.
  3. You obviously didn't read luc's reply and reason as to why he could not be there... receiving 4 hours notice before a meeting is not reasonable for ANY working person.
  4. Haven't read the replies, so it might have been mentioned... but get yourself a singlespeed, with thin tyres and some flat handlebars. IMHO that is perefect for riding around town etc. You get nice old skool looking ones.
  5. Cool, are we meeting in Cape Town? EDIT: Road/Mtb?
  6. That ad was deleted mighty fast...
  7. Will keep a lookout...
  8. http://www.capetown....traffictoo.aspx Not the Road Traffic Act, but an article by the City of Cape Town... Throw that into the Post and onto Estelle's front porch. EDIT: quote from the Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996 " (xv) "driver" means any person who drives or attempts to drive any vehicle or who rides or attempts to ride any pedal cycle or who leads any draught, pack or saddle animal or herd or flock of animals, and "drive" or any like word has a corresponding meaning; (ii)" ie - Same rules to be applied by cyclists (drivers of pedal cycle) as by drivers (of motor vehicle). Keep left - pass right, stop at red light, stop street. etcetera etcetera.
  9. I concur. Genoeg botter... Botter, nie "botter" nie. Kerrygold
  10. Bulletproof coffee. Thats all www.bulletproofexec.com Check out the coffee. It really works, out of personal experience
  11. I dont know hey...if I can get a 2011, 2012 or 2013 S-works Epic for R19 000, i'd be pretty stoked, especially if in good condition.
  12. Here is my pit Roger looking out over Hout Bay. We moved here two weeks ago and loves the beach and mountains!
  13. Haven't yet, but going for the magnolia ride tomorrow morning at 8. Will be wearing a black armband.
  14. Please explain how printing a label is a "production mistake". Assuming ofcourse you're implying that the label printing/designing is done by the same company involved in the manufacturing??? That is kind of unlogical... No company that manufactures food/nutrition will have label printing or designing equipment in the same factory. Come on, think man.
  15. I think you should look at a hard tail 29er, (I heard) the geometry fits nice for big guys. Go for disk brakes. Go for air fork, feels better than the other cheaper ones(like a rock shock recon, manitou etc...) Maybe look for something like a Silverback Vida 3, 4 or 5 - should be less than R7k for the vida 3. (maybe the 1 or 2 if you want to spend R11k or more). The rest of the components are pretty much "you get what you pay for". Theres nothing wrong with cheaper components, just not as 'smooth' and light weight as the top of the range stuff.
  16. A couple of mine. The Gerber compact scout (top left) I carry with me. I like the Wenger(black), the "original Swiss Army knife" very nice blade. The BUCK (cammo one on top) is an awesome hunting knife.
  17. LOL thats funny!! remember that from Friends
  18. I won't. They make excellent products. It's business, and they obviously feel that continueing backing Lance won't harm their reputation. I don't think they will take such a decision lightly. Also, Lance still maintains he didn't dope. Even if he did, most pro cyclists do... . But anyway, I'd stay a fan of Lance and those products. I think it's kinda stupid to boycott a product, only because they made a rational business decision that won't harm anyone at all...
  19. I am using this stuff. It's really nice and it feels like it's working. Also using the Marathon fuel during races. Best taste IMO... some of the other brands' stuff is good, but this I can drink for thirst as well, whereas with some of the other stuff I need to keep water with me for the thirst.
  20. Hazeldean, near Silverlakes. More or less starting at the same place as the 1st race in the Nissan Trailseeker series (Tiger Valley race). Out on Lynwood road. Theres some nice single track out there, and if its on some of the same routes as the Trailseeker race, it's quite flat and fast.
  21. And also stretching to keep those muscles loose is pretty important...
  22. Just for interest, why are you putting black in quotation signs? There's nothing wrong with saying black or white... Also would like to know with what you mean by saying "as we have raped the country." ?
  23. Rode there many times alone with no problems at all. very nice.
  24. Silverback maybe... Vida 3 or 4 should be around those price categories. Vida 2 is good value for money IMO
