But the snake trails are definitely closed, big trees over the lower section so no sneaky rides later. Dunno if it will be cleared by the weekend, can see some congestion on boulders and the dh track in the coming weeks...

Actually tokai is nowhere near a real bike park. Closest I've seen is Giba in durbs, but it doesn't have the vertical meters for real park riding. Also no ski lifts in sa, exept tiffendal.

Gonna have to change the name to Tokai Grassland mountain bike park. Although it'll be desert for a while, remember how long it took for the lower slopes to look decent. So how long before they fell the dh track?

Did you get suntan lotion on them by any chance? It will crack cheaper glasses.

Start at the top. Ride down the path of least resistance. That's your trail. Then fine tune from there, add berms , jumps etc where needed. On a hill like that the possibilities are endless!

Basically ride whatever puts the biggest smile on your face, whether its 8 inches or 0 inches is secondary to the fun factor.

Just saw on Giants facebook page that Andrew Neethling and Greg Minaar will be at tokai on friday 2pm for a “gentle ride“. Well Neethling will be riding, Greg just there to say hi. I guess Giant doesn't want their bike to seem slower than a V10. Could be fun though. All are welcome to join for a session.

Checked the results. MUCH more training needed for next year. I should probably stop smoking too...

So a morewood makulu really is faster than a 10 year old xxtension! Hahaha

Does anyone know where I can find the results for the race? There was a link on facebook but I can't find it.

With the timing system that was used at Tokai last saturday, enduro would be easier to run than a full on dh race I would imagine.
