    The Trading Post shop at Malagas ( on the main gravel road to Infanta). No real map but it is well signposted, they do have a rather sad website with basic maps. Permits run August to August.

    The district roads are bit boring but good for training. There is a great trail thru the Potberg reserve and some private farms. It's between 53 and 65 kms depending on your choice of loops. Nice mix of jeep tracks, technical trail, rocky climbs and lots of A frames. R100 for a years permit is a bargin. The views are spectacular esp with the canola fields in blossom.

    Breede river and canola fields from the Potberg reserve. Cape Infanta - 2 whales in the bay made it really special.

    These are actually a really nice bunch of guys, who would have thought? But they don't approve of cleats or, I suspect, lycra; knee pads are okay.

    Keep her as comfortable as possible, pain medication if needed (not sure it's needed in this case). I would avoid any further non-curative treatment, it is likely to just make her feel worse and hit your bank account further. If anything rather spend more money on a second opinion, not some holistic/homeopathic/ Chinese healer but another good vet. Feel for you, it's an awful place to find yourself in.
