  1. Completely agreed Has been bugging me for a while, I dont think its from a major manufacturer, have combed through pretty much all of their approx 2010 bikes, and found nada On another note, I found this, which looks super cool
  2. It kind of reminds me of an older intense, but not sure
  3. Im on the complete other side of the spectrum, im 95kg, and ride as hard as I possibly can and still not a single problem with carbon and thats with a relatively cheap Giant rim.
  4. I’ve been running carbon wheels on my enduro bike for a while now, can feel the weight a bit, imagining you’d be able to feel it more on an xc bike Does defo feel a little stiffer I used to warp my alloy rims all the time, like every few weeks, haven’t had a single issue on the carbons
  5. I have been considering selling mine, i have a 140mm rxf 34 if you keen
  6. Kinda curious, I know South is really good, but always thought Csixx was pretty good too? Am I wrong or is South just that good?
  7. Did that, but that also eventually died, had to replace the pins on mine
  8. Have got 2, one of them should work
  9. Yea, you can bet on who is going to win in elections and by how far etc.
  10. Agreed, but you can never really tell, not on components, never know why someone is selling cheap, could be stolen, could be that they dont know what they selling, could be that they just dont care or could be that they need cash quickly. So how do you know?
  11. Currently have a giant trance up for sale if you keen? Not sure what budget you are looking at, overstroked to be 151mm on the rear and I was running 160 and 170mm forks on it, both felt really good. Fully built up, 12s drivetrain, Lyrik fork and Ohlins coil rear is around 35-40k. Send me a dm if you keen, can chat
  12. Is that a do or a dont😁
  13. Really appreciate the offer, but Luzern is out of the country for a while, so unable to check if they still have the der, but I have seen them for sale in the classified for R2000-2500
  14. Do you still have the derailleur? Willing to buy from you or repair for you
  15. Should be able to do everything other than derailleur, shifter, tyres and suspension, not too sure on pedals.
  16. Have you opened up the hub? Had a similar issue and turned out i snapped the axle inside of the hub and that shaving against my thru axle was the problem
  17. Not completely the right place to ask, but does anyone have access to a lathe or know of anyone with one? A manual lathe is perfect, I need some endcaps machined for my hub. Currently has torque caps on, and they cant be machined down, so need caps made from scratch. Importing a set will be in the area of R1750 and not keen on spending that.
  18. Here’s 6 that were on the Jozi trails group since end of 2021
  19. Its the same as the group of 4 guys that have been robbing people at gun point on the spruit for years. The same every... single... time... early mornings, sometimes late afternoon. 3 or 4 guys, 1 with a gun, always in 1 of 2 spots, one robbery reported every 4-6 weeks. This has been going on for more than 4 years and nothing has been done. Cant be difficult to catch these guys...
  20. Would also look at an older 26er, or even a bmx, been riding one to and from classes for the year so far, works really well, and they absolutely bombproof. Bought mine for 2k, but its pretty well specced, can get one for quite a bit less
  21. Also not worth running light chains like the KMC SL, I pretty much only run chains designed for ebikes, last much longer
  22. Removal of handlebar, derailleur, wheels, pedals and seatpost, if it doesnt have a dropper If you want to or if possible the chain as well Then bubble wrap all stanchions and the wheels so that they dont damage the frame, and chuck it in a box
  23. Most bike shops will package and courier it for you, alternatively, some shops will give away bike boxes and they not difficult at all to package Any option you go for should be in the area of R600-900
  24. Have your valve at the bottom, do a full rotation in a straight line and measure the distance
