  1. I'm scared of myself when I ride it as I feel bullet proof. Seriously, the bike is light and goes where you point it. It's big wheels help you climb and district road is bliss. I also rode a very muddy Hill 2 Hill on it and didn't find it twitchy, even in the mud.
  2. bought one 6 weeks ago and I can't fault it.
  3. What is your seeding value on Supersport ?
  4. roof mount and a rack on top of the trailer for when the roof box is put on the car.
  5. that would have made the descent from Barletts and into the ARC interesting.
  6. Must be his tyres...here's a pic of mine before washing
  7. I rode. It was awesome and tough but isn't that the whole challenge ? Bike was often slipping and sliding sideways, mainly when the rear gave way and I almost lost it completely in a couple places. Found the best ways to ride some of the muddy downs was to stick the front wheel into a rut, take one foot out of the cleat and hope for the best...seemed to work quite well, and who ever thought that the bumby grass to the side of the track would be a preferable ride (traction) than the track. At least it didn't rain during the ride and the bonus is that I managed to be over an hour quicker than in last years heat (albeit on a 29'er this year)
  8. Could your brake pads have been pretty much worn out before you started ?
  9. According to the results there were 926 Entrants & 405 Finishes with 16 race withdrawals so if my maths is any good that makes only 421 starters.
  10. All results here: http://results.finishtime.co.za/startpage.aspx?CId=35
  11. anyone know if Admin can add wheel size categories 26" ; 29" 650b so we can sort by wheel size ?
  12. stretch, if you train a bit harder it might only be 1000 odd tyre tracks
  13. Max Knox in 4H03 then Kevin Evans Brandon Stewart James Reid Philip Buys (typo)
  14. we ended up going down roberts road so the course was pretty much the same as two years ago. descent from hilton was a bit hairy at times and there were some really muddy patches...luckily the rain stayed away too. one ride got hit by a car riding past the Arc. Car hit him from behind, bucked his rear wheel and he landed on the bonnet. The story goes that the Police stopped the car, Breathalised the driver (found to be 1.2) arrested him, impounded the car and left his 4 mates just standing there.
  15. riding sunday...hope the wet weather stays away.
  16. Results were done by the organisers themselves but since there was only one lady on a laptop collecting the results and to be honest I don't know if she was collecting runners, riders or attempting to do both. She also disappeared not long we finished, just over 2 hrs. Don't hold our breath for the results. the 60k was only abt 40k and the last 5k of that was on tar. It also required a dismount to climb the steps of the railway bridge in the last km.
  17. FNB (only bank I know of) has an online facility where you can verify an internet payment.
  18. considering it

  21. try the cadence centre in fourways, for a fee you can probably do it on one of their trainers or sign up for a training course and this will be your first session to get your Tempo, Sweet spot, threshold, VO2Max and Anaerobic power values.
  22. haven't read all the pages so hope this hasn't been posted.
  23. what's the deal with the double route, is it an organised thing (have to pay extra) or do people just start again ?
  24. try contacting Drakensburg Gardens. They were planning on building some routes around their place.
