  1. Go for a few rides with no end goal. Just have a ride with no route, time limit, heart rates, whatever. Stop for a coffee and just smell the flowers. If you're on mtb take some new turns on your standard route, look for obstacles, play and just have some fun.
  2. This is quite a process and I suggest trying on the garment and using it as intended. I have tried kidney belts, maternity belts, med grade "high" shorts and eventually settled on the Zoot long sleeve top as its quite long and allows for good movement. PM me and maybe we can Skype or something and I can help you with some of my learnings. I have had my abs removed on my right side so what I am looking for might be a bit extreme.
  3. I have a Zoot long sleeved top which I use for post surgery support and I can highly recommend it. If you are going to use it for post surgical support you need medical grade which unfortunately normally comes in unsuitable cotton like fabric.
  4. Holla is fantastic. I would however recommend Mankele above Holla. Stay there and roll out of bed onto the trail. I havent done all the trails at both but would rate Mankele above Holla. Saying that, you won't be disappointed at Holla.
  5. Misty Valley or Waterval Boven itself.
  6. Wow! Here's this guy and I can't even motivate myself to ride anymore.
  7. Nope, you cant ride through the reserve.
  8. No problem with the mail from thehub but I have since received a mail directly from Flook. Am I on their database now?
  9. Guys who bring in Whyte are really jacked up so your backup should be really good.
  10. Collected from Hairy (CT) on Wednesday and delivered to my office on Monday morning. Would have been Saturday but I took the day off. Hairy did a great job of packing the bike.
  11. DCB - R450.00. Great service, highly recommended!
  12. DCB quoted R450.00.
  13. rad, you back?
  14. PO will be a last resort. I would actually like can want to ride the bike.
  15. Recently bought a single speed from Hairy. The transport that was arranged to bring to Joburg as hand luggage will unfortunately take a little longer than expected. Does anyone have any recommendations on couriers to courier the bike? Any estimates of cost? Thanks.
  16. Anyone know anything about the short stretch of bike lane down Rabie Dr? Any other bike lanes around Jhb?
  17. Reinol, best handcleaner I have ever used. http://www.reinol.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=37&Itemid=54
  18. Linda Hodson 082-858-4268 Cyclist and the Sani2C runs through her parents' farm so she can give you a heads up on what to expect. She's in Greenside.
  19. Your problem with using a clip on chain cleaner is that your are running your chain over dirty sprockets and chain rings. You'll also need to use the scrubber a few times rinsing in between for it to work effectively. Scrubbers and bottles both have their pros and cons. Try them out for yourself.
  20. Why did you want to change it?
  21. Placed a big order a year back. They had to split into 2 boxes as there was a bike stand which was seperate. Our dear friends at SAPO decided they would charge me the full rate for each package. If I wanted to dispute it they could send the second package back to their distribution centre so they could open it and assess that it was in fact a duplication of the VAT. This would take between 4 and 6 weeks. I took my stuff, paid the additional VAT and sent CRC a mail with all the paperwork and proof of payments. All the additional costs refunded within 2 days.
  22. I would love to see a 10sp dual control but somehow dont reckon that we'll ever see that.
