  1. I used to live just down the road from there - 2nd street on the right - always loved cycling out that way in the mornings.

So why not raise R5000 privately and then donate it to Choc so you can ride with them? The whole point is to raise funds for them isn't it?
  4. Neat bike ... hope you have many happy, dirty miles on it.
  5. No Man' date=' Seriously, do yourself a favour, go back and delete your post, you are probably just trying to get a rise, but thats not funny or smart.[/quote'] Sorry but i will not delete my post. I am not trying to make fun of it. percy is one of my rugby legends and if he is guilty he will become a nobody for me. I firmly believe it not hitting a women ever - except if she hits you (then you can slap her once). All i am saying is that they must find out WHY he went to such an extent and hit her. . .it is easy to just blame him for hitting her ... but they must take in consideration WHY he did it - it could be that she emotionally abused him or something ... You catch my point?? Seriously??!?? How many times does that logic get applied and she slaps back then he slaps back and eventually she gets her face punched in. Still not OK
  6. I was flicking through the channels last night and stopped just as he started dancing - was great to watch.
  7. On the route I normally take to meet the club there is a big intersection that always has lots of sand/rocks/glass/various other bits as you cross the lanes. Not sure who cleared it up but I couldn't believe my eyes when I rode past the other day and the street was all swept clean. Was nice to see. Seems to be swept clear regularly now although I've never noticed anyone sweeping - whoever you are
  8. Post of the day!
  9. Well done Burry!!!
  10. Now why do that? How about posting some positive advice instead of trying to start a fight? Best is to join a club and ride in their beginners group of they have one. If they don't then just take it easy and relax - Spinnekop is right about the over-reacting. Be open to more experienced riders giving you pointers - most of the time they're just trying to help. Not trying to start a fight..... in a (your) imaginary world all is luvvie douvy and cuddles' date=' roses and kisses........ in the real world groups ride over red robots!!!!!!!!!! ..... and it is not negative advice it is to show the rookie what to expect out there. It is dangerous on the road..... cyclists get killed.[/quote'] Kittens, puppies and marshmallows actually. Sorry for hijacking your post Aranda.
  11. I went and checked how long until I hit 1000 and then saw I've been here a couple of years longer than you and have a long way to go still. Congrats slowtwitch

  13. "Our server caught fire will you be able to help us restore the database?" "When did you last make a backup?" "Yesterday." "Great then you won't have lost too much data. Where is the backup?" "On the server." "The one that caught fire?" "Yes"

    CYCLING accident

Olive Boy I've got quite a different story - got hit by a car and ended up in hospital with gravel under my knee caps and too many cuts and bruises to mention. Bike was trashed (and uninsured) The guy that hit me was in no position to compensate me but my medical aid requested that I try and claim from RAF to cover their hospital fees. Had a great lawyer who agreed not to charge me any fees unless they were able to get an amount greater than what was owed to the medical aid. All said and done I got enough cash out of the whole thing after paying the lawyer to buy a new bike. It took a while but the medical aid were happy to be compensated and I was happy to be able to replace my bike - make sure that if you claim from the RAF that you get a lawyer that will only charge fees if they can get you something and if not then the work was pro bono.
  18. I have to agree that it was probably the saddest episode in the whole series. I had thought the saddest was when Denny died but this one was TERRIBLE!! -- Sorry Hijack Off --
