Hi Nic just out of interest what did the Titan set u back ? Been riding a 26er for 3 years now and looking to change to a 29er been almost 2m tall , ive been told changing to a 29er would be quite easy for me. Spent a few bit on my 26er and dont want to lose trading up now if the outlay is gonna be extensive. Is LBS offering the tubeless conversion with all their sales of the Titan ?

Spent R3000 on second hand and about R6000 on upgrades Cycled about 1500 kms so thats R 6 per km need to cycle more and that excluding services !!

If we had a dedicated cycle lane and motorists who stayed out of that lane then maybe some wud consider the route of commuting to work.

Just from the extensive coverage of the race that i watched on DSTV i can tell u that it requires alot of training and the ability to push your body past the breaking point.

Agreed with u 110% its insane to think we are paying so much for essentials if we had a decent public mode of transport we wudnt be complaining and then the demand for oil wud be less thus prices will be lower.

i normally cycle on the weekends days are too short during the week with limited daylight with winter fast approaching. Sunset is much quicker now and hate that its dark earlier thus resulting in limited time in the saddle. New Balance also have a range of trail shoes and normally have good road running shoes there might be a show that u cud use for both purposes.

i have done a few purchases this way and have always had good experiences with the sellers. can also rate them after your purchases to inform other Hubbers of your interaction with them and thus assisting others.

I actually burst a tyre once trying to seat it, in my room with stans in, do you have any idea what mess that was!!!! That was have been a priceless moment !!!

Its a very contentious point gents . all items loose value with the passing year and some owners value their bikes more than they are actually worth because of the fact of the amount of money spent in keeping that bike up to date making various component upgrades over the years. i think that is the biggest problem in the second hand market. Also lots of riders build bikes from scratch and sell them as second hand and thus the value of these bikes with limited kms on them are priced rather high as compared to a old bike with vast kms on it, thus creating differences in the second hand market. ..... Just my two cents worth
