  3. As a Stumpy owner myself that is Blerrie Naas. Many happy miles mate - its an awesome ride......
  4. Beautiful bike but its like all the dudes going to the Ferrari launches aren't the people with the money to buy them. People trying to launder that amount of cash keep a low profile generally :-) Not that i am alleging that all the people riding Tramacs are drug dealers :-). #jealous
  5. Howzit i am looking for coffee cleaning tablets for my Breville machine and an idea where i can get the filters - BES 880 - seems like they are unique an unobtainable. Who supports or imports Breville?
  6. Bucket List Bike. When i am big and rich.
  7. Go have a look on Zwift insider about Wahoo. Me I am happy with Garmin. Don’t understand all the gnashing of teeth. It’s a cloud service for data analytics. It will be up again and likely well protected. But if you are dumping your Garmin cheaply I am always in the market for a deal. I would say we start at a third of retail for a price point. I mean they are all corrupted now aren’t they. Surveillance mode turned on and tracking your movements too allow the spooks in....
  8. So the question that is beggared by this is do you wear a mask in public? But we better take this to the Corona string.
  9. Its all new skills and up in the air at the moment - where we land will be interesting. Multi-day events with people attending pre and post events are going to be a no no until we have a way to understand immunity and vaccines. People are going to want to arrive and ride - hence the comment around time trials. You aren't going to want to get in to start pens. The downside for me, next year cycle tour would have been 20 and i was focused on 21 participations. But i am not sure now when i will get that if at all. We are all getting fitter on Zwift (if you are on there) and i am seeing my FTP and Vo2 numbers improve but i don't have a goal event that i can hope to aim towards. I have even thought of creating my own milestone and goal to give me something to focus on. So the future of events and being able to attend an event is key to a lot of why I do this. even if you race twice a year - having a goal is something that makes you focus. Events are the goals.
  10. The future of events will be time trials IMO. You can space people out on the road and s at the end post event much better.
  11. To Dullstroom is boring. From Dullstroom is excellent. Over Long Tom to Sabie and then around to Hazyview etc etc.
  12. Man alive glad you are enjoying her. Went and built another one. Can you believe it.
  13. Yep i am not a fan of them as well but when it come to practicality bs looks they win every time. Having to lug a helmet around inside or put your belongings in a backpack when using the bike day to day is always a ball ache.
  14. Amateur science project. Now if you reverse the current in the magnets with a battery you can turn the wheel in to an armature and have yourself an ebike when outside on the road.
  15. I loved rollers but i had some lurid get offs when things went pear shaped. Other than the stories i have never confirmed about the guy pedalling at full tilt and then going through the fish tank i had the following happen: 1.) Training in the door frame and then falling off and smashing my collar bone against the door jamb. I nearly broke a collarbone falling off rollers. 2.) A mate who was much better than me who was watching motogp on the rollers. He leaned in to a corner as the bikes did in front of him except he wasn't going at 180 kmh and the centrifugal force did not hold him up. Then he told us the story. I have dined out on this one for a long time. Rollers are going to make you super smooth and are so lekker and minimalist as a training tool. Really helped my pedal strokes. You are really getting good when you can transition to out of the saddle sprints adn then sit back down again
  16. Just taken delivery of this - very nice - running Maxxis gravel tyres on it - 40 mm. I found it to be quite a lot higher rolling resistance but lots of fun. the original idea was to build something for the indoor trainer out of bits i had as the carbon frames and changing aren't a great idea, Its my second gravel type bike. First was. Chinese CX type bike which was okay but this build is IMO better. I had an Ultegra disc groupset and a set of DT swiss rims spare plus the other bits in the garage. Needed the frame (Momsen Ally ) and then of course the build got away from me and i started to add things in and dream about builds. Bike rides nicely and will be on the trainer as well as for occasional rides - would like to do some gravel biking in the Karoo and Eroica ride.
  17. Have taken delivery of this about 2 weeks ago. Very happy. Always wanted one and this came up. Awesome bike to ride. There is something very cathartic about an open road and a bike like this which makes me ride like a hooligan.
  18. Probably a bit big for you. I am 1,8m and was about 118kgs when it fitted me aka i had a boep but now i am slimmed down a bit i am just swimming in it. Really serioulsy looking at tailoring it - i looked at the price and was shocked to say the least.
  19. Hi All, I have a Klim Latitude Goretex Enduro jacket. These are R 12k new even internationally. I have lost some weight and its just too big for me. Either i would like to find a tailor who could potentially cut it down for me or find a buyer for it. Great condition. It would fit someone 6 foot plus probably waist size 38 to 40 - for a big guy. https://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/?channable=e89554.MTEyOTQ0NDQ4Ng&ObjectPath=/Shops/10207048/Products/Klim-Latitude-Jacket-2018/SubProducts/Klim-Latitude-Jacket-2018-0018&Locale=en_ZA&gclid=Cj0KCQjww_f2BRC-ARIsAP3zarEvJyBEilXox-LCoZefov9THN54z-5EaoMlylwrP5hZxMPnRVCKhugaAq0mEALw_wcB Any ideas or takers? Would be hapy with R 6k
  20. SO if i was starting out and wanted to start making some stuff out of wood. Complete beginner - have some drills and a circular saw (hand held etc) in the garage. I was looking at getting a cross cut/mitre saw. For a beginner - what would you recommend? Saw some Dewalt stuff and these things go anything between R 4,5 and R 9k. I am not sure i am that serious - maybe just a bit of dabbling but i would like to start somewhere. What do you recommend i look at ? BTW half the issue with me is buying new tools.
  21. Pornography of the highest level
  22. I have Campy Record 10 speed and ordered the Campy hub which i thought would fix my problems with hte Kickr (Gan 3) Lo and Behold it doesn't fit 10 speed. I eventually just used the Vampy on the bike with the Shimano cluster (10 speed). It works. Shifting is a bit rough and ready but not unacceptable. I can assure you unless you are anal retentive about shift smoothness and can live with an occasional clunk its okay. Campy 10 speed group and chain running on Shimano 10 speed dura ace cassette - works fine.
