  1. This is indeed a strange one, I know Muslim entrants are impacted this year though, but what is the point of this? You're not doing the official route so how can you get an official result? I incidentally might be missing next year due to a work trip though - but not sure I get this - doing 109km aside - this is just bizarre.
  2. Been a while since I’ve been up here
  3. Glad that you got away, I’m keen to understand what triggered your spidey senses though?
  4. Wow, that’s just so poor !
  5. I am running a 42 up front with an 11 - 42 at the back, bike can only take a 42 (mtb converted to gravel) It has served me well on the road with other roadies - all be it, I was right in bottom of cassette on the flats. I have done a few gravel events and also worked okay, would like a bigger chainring upfront though - need to check with my LBS if I use a spacer of sorts to clear the frame.
  6. Perhaps lodge an official complaint to the club stating time and location of the incident?
  7. At the end of the day, nothing wrong with rim brakes , were in use not too long ago in the pro peloton by some teams despite them being in the minority at that point in time. you can get a high end, top spec bike for a great price on rim bikes at present in the second hand market. Who knows , some manufacturers might well buckle and make some more going forward but a good time to be a consumer . For me, at present, it’s #Rims4Road #Discs4Dirt. Ride what you like and ride what you can afford to maintain etc.
  8. Have some TPU tubes as a back up for my tubeless set up, these latex options seem to be a lot of PT.
  9. Go niche and go Campagnolo
  10. Nothing new on this? quite a fast descent, vehicle could likely have turned in front of cyclist?
  11. He had to fight to stay in red today, but the writing is on the wall
  12. a great fan could assist a great deal on the sweating front.
  13. mmm, okay - but check their formulae vs that of 32GI Will perhaps give Maurten a try at some point.
  14. and looks like another wet Sunday as well - fingers crossed it moves though - cannot deal with just the indoor trainer! Got myself a new ride and I have only been able to ride it once! At least I am getting in some rides on the IDT but it's not quite the same hey!
  15. Maurten on the pricier side, so I’ve avoided it thus far,
  16. Check out the sisu product, apparently quite good, have not used it yet but some other hubbers have. Very well priced and I like the packaging format in terms of ease of use, particularly on the bike. I use the 32GI 100g gel, but the opening and closing is difficult whilst riding. https://sisunutrition.co.za/
  17. I hear you and it’s very weekend it would appear as well
  18. wow, so i dodged this bullet, decided not to enter based on weather forecast. That's a crappy one for sure.
  19. How fast do I need to be to get aero socks ? #askingforafriend. in all honesty looks like good value ? How’s the quality? Are they holding up?
  20. See a few hubbers have bought from her. perhaps check with them? Has a social media profile as well. Spidey senses are not going crazy.
  21. Weather looks like it’s turning for Saturday! Some rain on the cards
  22. Seriously considering this , don’t see entry cut off on website though?
  23. Thanks - only hand grinder required at present - I have a Mazzer SJ for my espresso 🙂
  24. My porlex burrs have given up the ghost - any recommendations on a good replacement, I need the finer grind option for Turkish coffee as well.
