  1. Where are the suitable gravel bike routes in southern suburbs?
  2. Also had issues with Fulgaz and I’ve found that they’re quick to blame your hardware when you log a ticket, only for them to do an update soon afterwards. I’m also on Apple TV and had choppy video issues despite downloading the route beforehand. Have you tried to download as opposed to the stream?
  3. That bad?
  4. Thanks, yeah, I saw that finish! Will post pic as soon as everything is sorted!
  5. great thread guys, I have decided to convert my HT to a gravel with drop bars, ( mullet set up) busy getting the various bits and bobs. I have also entered the Around The Pot 60miler as my first event, Got some Pirelli Cinturato 45 M's based on some recommendations on a few threads. 40 upfront 11 - 42 at the back - hope I am not under geared - I am not the smallest fella!
  6. that's a great brand experience
  7. entry ninja, not up yet
  8. Yeah, that early puddle, hit us all! feet were bloody cold after that for sure.
  9. eish not lekker to hear, I actually entered the 80km with the promise of some nice trail then decided to change route, sounds like it was a good call then. Wonder why though, is it because it now does not go through Wolwefontein (might have name wrong) I seem to recall some of the previous ones had some nice singles, my last was 2017 though
  10. which route did you do? I also found the lack of ST a bit disappointing, perhaps the 80km route had more? I did the 60km, Well stocked water points , some lube would have been lekker at the water points The after race vibes not as cool as previous iterations And the last minute indemnity form was a bit of a joke.
  11. what have you guys found to be the sweet spot on tyre width /hard / soft and (apologies for a derail) handlebar width? Busy building a gravel bike and looking at some pointers This tyre looks like the business but I see it's available in various options..
  12. If using AGS where will you send it to?
  13. Some heavy rain for Thursday, hope it eases up and the route is not too muddy !
  14. This, I have cancelled my Fulgaz subscription as I mostly do structured sessions and am using Garmin to control the resistance (Kikr), coupled with some music and YT on the TV - I am sorted.
  15. Wow, this performance reminds me of Nino
  16. Sounds a lot like the Garmin bike alarm?
  17. I’m on about 400km on my trainer bike and it’s still running nicely , no residue on the cassette but reckon the chain could do with a wipe down. have not done much riding on MTB yet and it’s still good.
  18. How many chains you reckon you can fit in that US?
  19. Keen to hear your thoughts on that ultrasonic cleaner
  20. Should ideally check your pressure before every ride, or at least I do.
  21. Very good advice indeed
  22. my Saints have served me well as have my FiveTens - they have since been replaced with RC Helions
  23. Flat pedals are best paired with flat pedal shoes, great that you have had good service from your boots though, how far do you ride though? The OP mentioned that he does some long rides.
  24. I reckon with good pedaling technique there isn’t that much loss in terms of efficiency
