What do you guys think about carrying a chain tool, it has happened twice to me (or someone riding with me) that during a race I have needed to repair a broken chain.
Talking about your morning rides, I rode up Golf Club Terrace a few weeks ago, sh!t that road is steep !!! When you get around the bends it is actually about 16% . Isn't that where you and MichH were doing your hill intervals?
Meet at 7am Saturday Take R59 towards Vereeniging. Just after Engen Quickstop take turn off to Randvaal. End of off ramp turn left, then first left, t-junction left and Circus is 300m on left. You can't miss the big circus tent.
Ja BB but notice that you don't see me at the technical races, NF is just like a road race with dust, apart from the bit of single track and the tunnel drop off. When we used to go to Logwood I would come home covered in bruises and scrapes. Would need to practice alot more if I was to do serious MTB stuff.
Ok so Saturday it is then, 7am at the Circus, myself and probably Sonic. Gman1834, the Circus is just a coffee shop but if they want to follow in the car the ride through Suikerbosrand is quite cool and they will probably see some animals.
Wasn't quite without hickups, had to stop twice to tighten my seat post clamp, it slipped so much my knees were hitting my chin . It is funny how things always go wrong or come loose in a race, never on a nice relaxed training ride .

I must just say that between myself and family we have bought 4 complete bikes (MTB) from Solomons, a carbon road frame, a complete groupset and various accesories etc.
I have never had any problems with any of our purchases. The reason we purchased from them is obviously price and I do know a bit about bikes so I know what I looking for.
Unfortunately it is always case that one unhappy customer more than makes up for all the satisfied ones.
