Sometimes the air tanks just don't deliver enough air quickly enough to seat the bead. (assuming all else is fine) There are occassions when only a compressor/service station/bomb will get the job done.

Can't comment on the Corima, but cheaper generic cork pads just don't perform particularly well.

How do the Corima pads differ from other carbon specific pads.? Couldn't you look at Swissstop or similar.?

What about CO2 for roadside fixes.? Hand pump is a good backup and even at 70psi should at least get you home or to a fuel station forecourt where you can top up.
