I like good quality bibs that fit well.
Preferred brands are Assos, Santini, Castelli ... especially when top tier was still around R3k and you could get some on sale for a bit less.
Now that entry bibs are around that price means thinking twice.
Not too bothered about brands when it comes to tops. They just need to fit with suitable storage.

Size matters.! And one size definitely doesn't fit all.
Width and shape/curvature are equally important.
Also don't underestimate the value of pairing with a good shorts.

Tape leaks can be so frustrating.
Installation requires patience and allowing it to settle by using a tube is certainly a good idea.
The other thing is to get the valve hole pierced just right.
One day solid rim beds will be more common. ????

My earlier post suggested checking the seating of the valve ... been on the receiving end of that frustration often enough. ????
Either don't pierce the tape adequately or otherwise just not tightening the valve properly... ????♂️
I'm pro tubeless but it can sometimes be a pain.! ????
Newer wheel designs are impacted less by crosswinds and it's also something you manage better after having used them for a bit.
That said, 40-45mm seems to be the sweet spot nowadays. ????
Slow leaks can be difficult to locate.
Like Knersboy said, tape can often get damaged when replacing tyres or even just lift a bit from the rim.
Also check that the valve is still seated properly and that you're not losing air there.
Sometimes it also takes a few rides for the tyre to seat and seal properly.
Batteries are available ... R200-R300 from what I've seen.
Some are replaced by simply unplugging while others may need cutting and reconnecting of a cable or two.
