  1. That's what we think/say about peeing in the toilet too ... 🙈
  2. There's the option of mechanical-hydraulic calipers ... something like the TRP Hy/Rd perhaps. Giant also has a mechanical-hydraulic conversion.
  3. Refurbishment options: Carbon Bicycle Repair (Durbanville) Bicycle Maintenance Centre (Salt River) Not sure about the internal cable routing though.
  4. Suspect it's the latter but haven't used them myself ...
  5. I was very keen to get my feet in a pair for the day but didn't get to sourcing it. Not too disappointed now that I didn't. 🤣 I suppose it would have been difficult for any product to keep feet dry for 2-3hrs in those conditions... 🤷‍♂️
  6. I purchased 11spd Ultegra chain some time ago listed as OEM. Detail made specific reference to the packaging and that it was not in original Shimano box. Are you sure this wasn't the case with your purchase.? 🤷‍♂️
  7. Two of the biggest clubs in the area already mentioned. Otherwise touch base with the LBS in the area ... they are often at the centre of group rides. Cycles Direct and CycleTeknix come to mind. PS: if you were active in the southern suburbs, let me know who that was with. 😊
  8. Agreed. And as long as original seller got fair price, subsequent seller is fair to trade as deemed fit I guess.

    Fabric saddles

Fabric Scoop (shallow) has been my saddle of choice for a while. Seems Omnico is the distributor. Perhaps they can put you in contact with alternative retailer/retailer with test saddles.?
  10. The world believes you now.! 👌
  11. Must admit that I found similar with some S7 Mille bibs ... haven't noticed that with earlier/other models.
  12. With winter approaching, also keen to know which way to go ... Not to bothered about social participation, or game like platforms and would prefer budget friendly, structured/interval type workouts. Will read back a few pages to pick up suggestions. Have noted Rouvy, Trainer Road, Systm, RGT ...
  13. That is really is the big difference in my opinion. Comfort is subjective, but the quality and longevity of Assos fabrics is hard to dispute. There are other European brands which are arguably as good ... Santini, Nalini, Castelli etc. That's when it comes down to who's offering a good special. 😊
  14. Just caught the end of their 6hr+ day and got me wondering how long the average weekend warrior is going to be out there today.? Many won't have much time to recover ...
  15. Suspect the chasing group thought so too ... but little did they know.!
  16. Similar experience when replacing some Jawbreaker photochromic lenses ... no complaints though. 👍
  17. Sunday's CTCT conditions were perfect for that. Both relieved the need and coukf warm you at the same time. 🙊
  18. If skill permits, go Euro-pro and drop to the back of the pack and whip it out mid pedal stroke ... 🤷‍♂️
  19. When going on a night out the key was to never break the seal ... same applies.! 🤣 "The term "breaking the seal" refers to an urban myth that says when drinking alcohol, urinating the first time will break some sort of seal in your body, and you'll have to get up every five minutes to go to the bathroom."
  20. Sometimes enforced rest can do one the world of good.! Keep reading the thread ... it may inspire you to make a return. 😊
  21. They have a website but I doubt they consider themselves to have an online operation. It's merely used as a means of reaching an extended potential customer base ... even if it's not done very well. I don't think it has much influence over their core business. (but even that has been questioned on a few occasions 🙊)
  22. So conditions were perfect for them. 🤣
