I remember enquiring (just out of interest) about financing a bike +-10years ago and the answer was quite simply "no, we don't finance bikes". Now it's common practice with most LBSs offering it as part of the "value added service" it seems via many of the well known financial institutions. It opens up possibilities which could otherwise not have been considered but know that it comes at a cost.

I think it's important to acknowledge that these are exceptional athletes and will probably excel at most cycling disciplines. Many have preached track cycling to be the best learning ground and perhaps CX should be added to that. I think that the nature of CX certainly compares favorably to the demands of the classics.

Seems like the logical next step ... Dura Ace wireless 12/13 speed with current Di2 filtering to 105. That said, while these lower tier options are cheaper, they are slowly moving further and further from the average man's budget. We may soon be riding Tiagra again ...

Bennet is referring to the performance at Scheldeprijs. His win in Turkey was a good one ... battled hard in that sprint. A season or two ago he would have faded and given up. A confident Cavendish is a pleasure to watch.!

Seems there are a lot of questions to be answered. May be a while before their next event... From what I've heard, the TTT's on Saturday went well. Perhaps that should be the format while we continue to navigate Covid norms.

I've said it many times, sport needs characters, liked or not, and Cav is one of those. I couldn't quite work out the purpose of his positioning on the day ... were they setting up Cav and he just didn't have the legs, or were they always riding for Bennet where perhaps Cav could have contributed more in the lead out.? I suppose knowing who you're riding for is part of the wolf pack's predicament currently...
