Looks like they were short of a workstand and put the bike in the vice instead. The brakes and leaking sealant is unfortunate but can happen (both can be finicky), but the damaged seatpost is unacceptable.!! At least it sounds like they are trying to rectify it.

Unless I misunderstood, impression I got was that the problem persisted after having bike at LBS.? Thought they would have diagnosed and corrected the problem with first visit.

Yeah, Cyclelab/CWC have/had a few odd sizes/last of range if lucky. Equipe R2500, Campionissimo R3500. So if you're XS or xxxl they may still have something.
That sounds like the good Black Friday deals but even those are becoming more and more rare ... Assos are great but becoming harder to justify. Entry level now costs what was once top tier. It was not so long ago that spending R2500 on a S5 Fi.13 seemed ludicrous. LOL
