  2. That's great news CP, glad to hear it's much less serious than you originally thought! Just make sure that it's all good before you go out racing again ..........
  3. If it was my shop you sure wouldn't get that extra 5-10% off either
  4. As per pieman and DR (i.e. no this is not up for discussion cause it works for me!), paraffin to clean the chain in a bottle occasionally (buddy coke works quite nicely) and I use Squirt (wax based) on road and mountain (more often on the MTB). Over and out
  5. ewep - flowers and chocolates normally help ........

  10. Just this morning I was thinking after 2 roadbike punctures yesterday (OK so the one tube LittleBen gave me had a puncture already grrrr!) when last did I have an MTB puncture ........ it's been like forever! Tubeless rules (now .......).
  11. hel niemand het dit vir my gese....was ook bietjie moeilik om om die blok gaan ry het met al die reen.... Hey pump that wheel and go ride now ............ oh that damn work thing probably gets in the way sorry If you don't get it inflated with a hand/floor pump use a bomb (OK OK I know some say it will freeze/coagulate/stuff up the Stan's but I done plenty like that and I'm OK, but then again maybe I'm not ........)
  12. Wooohoooo - best news I have seen this week!!!!! No more excuses now. As TitusTi says my experience is also to ride it and then ride some more and more and ...... It does 'settle' down pretty quickly!
  13. OK we can safely say BG doesn't like PINK, but that lime greeny Merida colour that's in I'm sure
  14. They had those on the pimp my bike in the latest Mountainbiker magazine, my nieces (14/15) who wouldn't dare be seen dead on a bicycle of any kind said that might just change their minds ........
  15. TitusTi - yip as I said I never heard or seen it from anyone else so was quite surprised at the comment at a bikeshop but as these things are he probably only had 6 bolt and was trying to 'steer' someone in that direction?
  16. Just a rumour I know but I heard that the centre lock ones develop play where the rotor is sort of 'rivetted' onto the 'locking' mechanism. Haven't seen it myself so take it from whence it came I guess ......
  17. GO - As far as I know it will be MTB TT at Rietvlei Went out and rode this afternoon, friggin slippery but great fun! Fell once, eina thigh. Got dark quite quickly though!

  20. Parra - the oke is deurmekaar still from that bump on the head (or was it before that can't remember now anyway!). I am sure he means someone that works 'near' there as in not a shop employee. Ingels is also not her first language as well ..........
  21. Now that's a chain protector of note hey ............. http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/the-ultimate-in-transmission-protection-15140
  22. DR - LittleBen has one on that S-works carbon HT of his. He says it's OK, dunno cause I use an XT FD on both my bikes ........ Then again he whips all of our backsides so it must be OK!
  23. OK then maybe some useful advice, how about these do they help perhaps (some even with pictures to identify those thingy's, thingamobob's and widgets)? http://bloombikeshop.com/repairmaintenance/derailleurshifter/adjustfrontderailleur.php http://www.webmountainbike.com/adfronder.html http://www.sheldonbrown.com/derailer-adjustment.html
  24. DR = hairy beast, now that I can identify with haha! But does this not come from a recent funride world champs finisher, sommer close to that 'special' 3 hour barrier nogal huh huh ........
