  1. Very nice! Enjoy the build!
  2. Have also used some of that Motul chain lube on mtb chain at times. Had no real problems.
  3. Yes, with Santam. My Shova is specified as all risk, insured for R20000. Premium is R140. Have not had a claim as yet, touch wood. Excess is R100.
  4. Thanks for heads-up. No problem my side luckily, banks now also have this 3D-secure option where you get a one time pin via SMS with each credit card transaction. But have not seen it utilized by all online shopping/entry pay gates. (the one's I have used at least)
  5. See you there
  6. Sorry dunno what happened there... Back to topic, when I bought a brake set, also Avid, about 2 years ago from a reputable online retailer, it was boxed and included everything mentioned in the first post. Yes, rotors as well...
  7. I got everything you mentioned above when I bought a brake set about 2 years ago. Rotors as well...
  8. As jy wonder of jy dit moet doen... jy moet.
  9. Looks like some very nice jackets! I don't really have a waterproof one, but a blue windbreaker type semi water resistant with reflective strips. Goes down low to catch most, but not all of the water from the rear tyre. another idea, are they foldable? Like so you can fold it up and tuck it into a small space in say, your camelbak? For when the rain stops??? Keep us posted
  10. Agree. One has a right to smoke I guess, but not a right to throw one's crap all over the place. I have seen people throwing the whole empty packet out of the car window sometimes. Does not make any sense.
  11. Well done to all who helped the police!
  12. This race is the best. Made the trip on saturday only due to the rain. This was my third festival ride, did a few other ones there as well. Anyway, arrived on saturday morning and realised I forgot my helmet, eish. Just a word of thanks to Deon for borrowing me his helmet. Thanks! Really enjoyed the track as always. It really is an awesome place. One should make the trip more often. Thanks again
  13. Got an On One summer season, in glow in the dark green. It actually glows. This bike looks great! The helmet is also quite somehing! the search for the holy trail is an awesome film indeed.
  14. Ordered from them a few times. Also had an episode with a changed order due to my trigger happy clicking, but they sorted it out with no hassles. (Ordered a white rim in stead of a black one) So ya, only had good service from them thus far. A friend once ordered shoes, jerseys and t-shirts as part of an order and was hammered with 40% duties. So I make a point of it not to order clothing. Customs basically added duty to ALL goods in the order, not only to the shoes etc. Expensive lesson it was for him.
  15. Have not exactly weighed mine, but it's over 14. 2008 med frame, RP23, Revelation Team 150mm 20mm maxle ZTR Flow, hope pro 2, 2.35 maxxis high roller/minion 2x9 shimano slx/xt combo Avid Elixir 5 brakes (maybe a weak point, but no trouble thus far) Shimano Dx pedals Not bothered about the weight really, but sometimes the uphills can be tough It's a great bike.
  16. Great great bike!!! Congrats and enjoy!
  17. I have an entry available, part of a 4 man team. PM me if interested. (Seems I have a severe case of being a pansy.) See also classifieds section, under Race Entries. Cheers Good luck to all those riding!
  18. 1.80-ish [m] tall, medium shova ST. 150mm revelation and 50mm stem. BB height I have no idea, but like mentioned, high enough. The 650B issue, I don't know. Get a medium, I guess.
  19. I had a 1.8 carb. Got around 11/12 km/l in town and up to 14.5km/l on the open road. then the consumption rose heavily, around 8 or 9km/l. Turned out to be a leak in the fuel pipe, eish. So be sure to check that as well. Just to mention, there was a distinct fuelly smell at that time. Currently my brother has the car, does about 10.5km/l. 210 000km on the clock. Ok just saw now the leaking issue has been mentioned...
  20. Ja nee wat. Indien die roete verander, skenk ek maar my inskrywingsgeld.
  21. Nice! Enjoy France!
  22. It's a DHR. But thanks anyway Guess I can buy a new minion DHF and run the high roller on the rear.
  23. Reason I'm asking is CRC is running a special on them at the moment... Currently I'm running High Roller front and Minion rear, both 2.35. Time has come to replace the rear tyre.
  24. How are the Michelin wild gripr 2.25 tyres? Any experience with them?
