  1. Great stuff. Was planning on going there Saturday morning. Now there's even more reason to go! thanks!
  2. Also got one on the mtb. X-type or something like that. No problems thus far. Using it with LX cranks.
  3. also gonna do this as a first timer this year! looking forward to it! still lots of time for training...
  4. 2.35 Maxxis High Roller front and Minion rear. for all your mtb needs.
  5. Reba, brilliant.
  6. www.ktm-bikes.at try this site
  7. Well this is not something you are going to fix with direction. It's a mentality and these are most probably the same guys who ride 5 abreast' date=' go upstream on a single track and fart while peeing. [/quote'] 'n pi$ sonder 'n poep, is soos 'n huis sonder 'n stoep.
  8. awareness for what?
  9. waars die 140mm opsie? AM > 120mm seker dan.
  10. Mountain king tyres are weak, imo.
  11. This is really sad. Hope she is doing ok.
  12. This is bad, imagine this happens in a berm at a relative high speed. ouch. luckily you're not heavily injured!

  14. agree with philip. silverbacks are decently specced for the price. friend of mine bought a nebraska some 2 months ago and its a very nice bike. good luck with the hunt!
  15. This is truly sad. condolences to the family. however, to blame it on the vehicle is a bit of a long shot don't you think? Driving after a 24 hour mtb marathon is hardly a good idea... concentration levels and reaction times are down by a lot.
  16. iLike, well done. I miss my chucker.
  17. same here. there must be some definite formulas and stuff to support this? the heavier going faster, struggling to think from the top of my head now...
  18. yes i know, was only commenting on the Galileo example given by Black Jack. On a bicycle a bigger oke goes faster downhill for sure!
  19. In freefall: E(potential) = mgh. (mass x gravity accelleration constant x height above ground) and E(kinetic) = 0.5 x m x v^2 (0.5 x mass x velocity squared) thus from the conservation of energy law = Ep must equal Ek thus mgh = 0.5mv^2 so this cancels the mass and you get to v = sqaure root(2xgxh) Thus in freefall, mass of an object plays no part...

  21. and those sold already?
  22. I've got the same carrier. Driven from CapeTown to Joburg and back with 3 bikes on it. All swaying etc. No problems whatsoever. Although I didnt like the sway. Pull it tight with bungi chords. Had 4 bikes on it all the way to TB, 2 times already, been through the hell etc. Don't mind the sway, just fit something between the bikes to prevent transport damage. It really holds fast.
