Hi Guys not sure if I should post this here on in the buyers guide
Just want to find out what this bike is worth
Trek 4300 frame
Mechanical disk brakes (Avid Levers and Shimano Calipers)
Single Speed (Praxis works 32T Narrow wide and 18 at the back with DMR works tensioner)
Rock Shock Lyrik 160mm solo air
26" wheels
Specialized seat (small tear at the back)
Easton Handlebar and stem
I know the fork is not meant to fit that frame I just used it to cycle with my kids
2 minutes ago, DieselnDust said:Sorry to hear about this misfortune. Hopefully you can make a full recovery in time for march 2022.
I had it at the beginning of 2021. Took 3 months to feel normal after a 3 week episode with the little cretin.
Start slow and rebuild. regaining health is the first priority????
Thanks bud. Taking it very slow for now
10km 3times a week on the trainer and trying to add a little bit every time
If anyone is looking for an entry you can send me a PM. I can unfortunately not make it. Covid has screwed me and can barely make 10km now so not going to torture myself
reviving an old thread here. Dartmoor has not seen a lot of love recently?
considering a DARTMOOR HORNET 27.5" from trailtech, it is a good frame I assume?
Looking for an old 26" wheel with 20mm TA
or just a 20mm TA hub
Willing to pay
Are you going to take notes while you riding?
I have done a couple of rides with the Oval and I must say it is really great. It takes about a ride or 2 to get use to but after that its brilliant. on the down strokes I can feel its a 36T but on the over/under stroke it almost feels like you are spinning, if that makes sense.
Maybe give the guys at Two Wheels Trading a call, they seem to have rebuild kits, so they should be able to help you out.
thanks will give them a call
Hi guys
So this weekend my dropper decided to stop working
I have watched alot of youtube videos on how to resolve this but none of the tricks seem to work on the morewood
if I unscrew the bottom the shaft that comes out of the air chamber still works, so I think it is either one of the keys or just a huge amount of dirt in it, but my problem is I cannot seem to open it, so I am turning to the hub experts for advice
This is the dropper
Normaly there is a screw here that you can take out, but as you can see nothing on the mamba
there is also nothing at the bottom to loosen like with the bontrager droppers
So any advice on how to get inside to clean and inspect would be greatly appreciated
Hey Hubbers,
I am looking for a big blade to fit on my Home Trainer Bike. Currently a 3 x 10 setup with a 42 (old 10speed) I think. Wanted something to give me a bit more top end on the flats.
It's Shimano, so 104 BCD.
I have a 44T if you want. not much bigger but its something
My overall health improved so much with vaping. I believe it saved me from early heart problems or worse.
You do have a point there. It kinda feels more difficult. It definitely isn't from a physical point of view since nicotine itself isn't the most addictive substance on it's own. Cigarette companies add additional chemicals to enhance the effectiveness of nicotine which makes it more addictive. Vaping doesnt have that.
Maybe it is just a harder psychological barrier to break.
Psychological barrier and its sort of become a hobby
Are you Johan btw? use to be Sir Maxxis?
Being stuck in lockdown I did that a few times on Zwift,
how does the real deal compare, that is if you have zwift to compare
At the price I think it's worth it. I would pay that price for just the frame. I would stretch for the Trail if you can though, not much to replace there and it comes with a really nice fork.
My gat juk vir een.
But on the other hand I want to wait and see if the GT Zaskar LT are going to be available locally.
I do agree that the Revelation is a really nice fork
On the topic of the Slade
Is it worth going for the Slade Comp and upgrading components as you go along and finances allow it, or is the SR Suntour XCM34 Boost LO just horse sh$$ and a waste of time?
the want/need factor is at such a high level for this
stupid question maybe, but how does zwift know you are turning ?
It uses the Giro on your phone if I understand correctly, that is why you have to have your phone on your handlebar with the companion app running
https://zwift.com/news/17853-futureworks-steering/
Certainly was a nice break from the usual. I can see myself hitting a couple of laps for an hour in the week.
silly question but how do you steer. The level block I have doesnt move freely, do you just go without it or have some other method?
I have a question for all the smart people out there.
So I know you cant really compare your virtual ride times to actual cycling times, but it sure does give a good workout
I really want to try and do the 94.7 in a sub 4 this year, any Idea on what I should focus on during my lockdown IDT sessions?
I'm also doing it - 7759 riders signed up for the 18h00 event so far
jeez this was rough. I was bleeding from the eyeballs after the radio tower climb
No I want to enjoy my zwift sessions.
I did an early morning session this morning, because friday beers
Im gonna try it. need the elevation for my personal challenge.
Ill do beers when I am done, If I have any strength to lift the bottle afterwards
Whats it worth?

Shot thanks. I also paid R4999 for my 4300 new back in 2011/12
at that price I guess I would rather keep it as a bike to play with the kids
