Take the pads out, push the pistons back, put the pads back in, pull the lever a few times till the pads touch the rotor, loosen the caliper bolts, spin wheel, pull brake and continue to hold the lever while u tighten the caliper bolts. Once the bolts are tight, release the brake lever. Should now be aligned.

Lezyne Flow with a Continental bottle. U battle to pull it out nevermind it wobbling itself loose. I find thge Hollard/Nissan/Epic 'branded' bottles don't have a deep enough lip for the cage to clamp onto.

If you're talking about Mzuzu, its actually an old section that was there before the course ran in the direction it does now. It interfered with Thaba's 1st downhill so he closed it. Now re-opened with some tweaks. One of my fave blue bits.

I had a VIPA to demo for the weekend 2 weeks ago. A flipping awesome bike. I haven't ridden a Scalpel though.

Any parts u use for the Epic need to be ones that spares are readily available for. Nothing that requires 'exotic' bearings etc that can't be found at one of the bike shops or vendors at the Epic. I ditched my Industry Nine custom lightweight wheels in favour of a set of heavier, more robust Mavic Crosstrails in case I broke a spoke or part in the hub or needed a bearing or freewheel body. Shimano and SRAM both support at the Epic, best to go with parts they'll have stock of just in case.

Truth be told I've flagged one of your 2012 rides. U hit a speed of 96km/h between Thaba and Rietvlei. Unless u know who my supplier is, that's too fast for a human.
