    yes, it's normal. bike goods are overpriced, but if she understands what things cost and you're managing your cash properly (retirement, slush fund, med aid, car payments etc) and she knows it's not just a "just because" purchase, and you love riding, she'll understand. But if you're hiding it ços you fell guilty that you won't have as much cash for your groceries this month, or you're sacrificing a contribution to your RA / Med Aid / Life Assurance / School fees, then you're on a one way trip to divorce. Money matters, guys. There's a reason it's the number one reason for marriage breakdowns. I guarantee that you'll get a far better reception if you just let her know before you spend. Whoever came up with thatsaying of it being easier to ask forgiveness was a douchebag

    yeah, cos keeping an invoice from your wife's eyes always helps the trust and support in a marriage. Grow up, guys. Don't be afraid to discuss this stuff with her. I guarantee she'll appreciate it and rest assured that you're not keeping other stuff from her. Cos if you're lying about bike stuff...

    There's probably going to be an XCO focussed 100mm 29er coming in the not-so-distant future. I predict it'll happen when the 2017 Reign is launched. #watchthisspace

    Yes, I am. Whether he uses the niner for everything remains to be seen. He hasn't said anything about moving to the niner platform for everything, and given that the RC line is available in both wheelsizes, and he now rides the niner as well, it makes sense that he would ride the one that suits the course best. He even said that he would ride the niner for World Champs cos the course is more smooth and flowy than others. Saying that, if he does only use a niner it would go a long way to proving that the drawbacks of the platform (in his circumstances - higher stack heights etc) can be overcome by using clever geometry and fittings, enough even to satisfy him - one of the most particular about his setup.

    Go back to the doctor and primary school. You need tour vision and understanding of suspension design updated. Scott = linkage driven single pivot. Giant = DW esque link with top and bottom linkages. 2 VERY different suspension designs.

    AWESOME!!! Wonder if the reign will get a new rocker link as well. Hope it's applicable to the current gen, just in case I want a #metric shock in the future... And I was right... longer top tube and reach numbers, composite rocker & shorter chainstays... Better all round! Those new rims look pretty cool as well... Want more info there. ETRTO measurements would be great, to see if it's 33mm internal or external...

    Piss easy, actually. It's 2 Mac G5 towers with a board balanced / screwed / bolted into them to form a table. Only thing you'll need to do is chamfer teh edges so that it fits the curve of the tower properly. Find the right router bit and you're A for Away.

    Spark. RC is just too racey for your average stage race, and I'd only recommend that for the people at the VERY pointy end on an XCO circuit where grams are the ultimate goal. Agreed fully with Iwan. I'd even go so far as to say I'd pick the Plus
