  1. Schweet Nige, I like to think of doing a manual off the drops... same sorta thing, I reckon...
  2. Well done mate! Reminds me of the time I had to call Audi Assist to change my flat tyre. I had loosened the nuts, taken the spare tyre out and needed to jack the car up to remove the flat. Went to take the jack out the boot and.... no jack. Guy that had done the PDI missed the fact that the car's jack container was empty. Felt like a numpty on the phone when I had to ask for help to change a tire...
  3. can't wait for mine to arrive! Firefox browsing on the Macbook Pro at the moment...
  4. Not me... you guys generally get the better deal with food at conferences and presentations, so at times I'm a bit jealous...
  5. Wish I could contribute, but unfortunately I'm not in a position to do so at the moment... Hopefully will be able to at the end of the month, guys...
  6. Forget about the new bladder, just get a new mouthpiece...
  7. Dude, you are SICK! I want your skills, dammit! GIMME! GIMME! Seriously though, mad props to you, man... Musta felt like heaven.
  8. Couldn't have said it better. Buy Camelbak, Dakine or Deuter. Can't go wrong with them. Reason for premium in these brands? Name (obviously) but over and above that, the materials they use are that much stronger (sourced from better manufacturers, and a higher grade) as well as made better, and are more user friendly... Buy a proper one - you won't be sorry...
  9. LOL! I said it looks like, not is exactly the same! The main pivot point is different to the Giant's, as well as being the point at which the shock connects to the frame. The BB is below the pivot point, whereas with the Giant, the BB is below & behind the pivot point. Also, the chainstays on the Merida are one piece all the way to the pivot, whereas the Giant's connect to a secondary pivot behind the BB...
  10. Hey Chubs, I got a quote from Revolution the other day for a set of 780mm BooBars. They are very reasonably priced, and that's what I'm going to put on my GT DHI... Might be worth going the extra 3" on the width to start, and then whittle down as you go on? As for the routing, the only way to get fully continuous while using the same routing points is to file away at the closed end until it's the same size throughout. Not the best thing to do, especially when the frame has just been sprayed, I know... But unless you go around the mounting points and cable-tie the housings to the frame instead, that's the only way (that I know of) to get a fully continuous setup...
  11. I also like it... Looks good the way they've made the top portion of the rear triangle into one piece, instead of 2 separate pieces, in order to increase the structural rigidity of the triangle. Also looks a little like Giant's Maestro suspension design, which is thought to be one of the more successful designs in the XC market... Looks like it could do well, and it's different to the norm.
  12. ITO styling, I prefer the top 2. If I had to go on looks alone, the Giro wins it.
  13. Well said, Dangle... It's one of those things that should be stopped. And soon. As for involvement, it's almost like building trails - you want in? You want new trails? You want everyone to be safe? Then stop snarking on about it and help with the fight. Do something constructive, instead of just sitting back and reaping the rewards, then k4kking off when ANOTHER thing isn't to your liking...
  14. plus, you could moonlight as a slimmed down version of Batman, if you got the matching pants and cape...
  15. Anti-snap tool? ;-) Looks like an awesome piece of kit.
  16. Damn! Those are some SNAPPY tld Snappy pants!
  17. Haha! Now it's 3 each! You're really not winning here, Chubs. If it's any use, I've got the Alligator system on my ride, and one of the ferrules broke clean in half in the derailleur seating. So I had to jimmy-rig an old one so that the cable could carry on operating properly...
