    I do agree, that performance cannot be improved by buying a new bike.I also had a few: 2 Battaglins, C40,C50,Time VXS,Time VXRS Ulteam(very nice), Time RXRS Ulteam(the harshest ride ever), Look 585 and 595 Ultra, Dogma 2 and at the moment Dogma65.1(best handling bike on downhill I ever rode) and Litespeed T1(2014 model with Enve fork,bar ,stem and seatpost) The Litespeed is by far the most comfortable as far as road vibration is concerned. However, if you like the bike it is best for you and that F8 is a beaut

    I had the exact bike. The frame , fork and seatpost back then was about R15k. which was a lot then. I think R18K, but keep it. It is priceless :thumbup:

    Ride as much multi stage mtb races as you can next year and do epic in 2016. You will be better prepared than trying to do it as a novice.

    Jy weet verseker nie waarvan jy praat nie. Ek weet , ek het 3 gedoen(2 keer top 75). Dis egte mtb'ing. Kyk hoe suffer almal. As jy goed is, is jy goed ,maak nie saak road of mtb. Hy het nie die skill soos Sauser, maar jy raak nie 'n Euro Pro as jy nie BAIE goed is nie.

    I had Bora's and Lightweights. Currently on Zipp 303 clinchers. Enjoy them much more than the tubbys, because a puncture is not R900 anymore. By the way , the Zipp hubs , is the smoothest you can get. Check out what they say about the bearings they use

    I've done 15 Argus rides. 9 sub three. This year I rode with my wife in BB. Wind and sore legs after Boland Tour made me do that. I saw lots of riders touching hands or shoulders and then nervously swing away from each other. This causes lots of riders crashing. Ask a riding buddy and practice to just slightly lean into each other when accidentally touching. This way you will gently part, not causing others to crash.
