  1. This ^^ There are just too many ways signing a lease for a bitter, black-listed ex can end badly. If you HAVE to, sign a 3 months lease just to get her out, or even a temp month-to-month option. Then she can sort it out once she gets the payout. Don't allow her bad decisions to be your problem any longer.
  2. That is a significant project to accomplish with no machinery. Well done!
  3. The trick with quicklinks is to press the side plates together at the same time as pushing the pins towards each other. The pin heads are seated in a little recess in the plates (that's the 'click' you hear when installing one). If you don't press the side plates you are effectively pushing against a (minute) metal wall i.e it's going nowhere!
  4. Good show! Enjoy and post some pics when you're back
  5. On the invoice total + duty. This is all speculation however, as the actual amount charged will be determined by the person who attempts to do the calculations at customs or the post office. This is rarely accurate.
  6. Duty isn't charged on the shipping cost, so it works out about $150 less.
  7. Just be careful who you book with. Some of the operators there are pretty slack at getting clients into fish, and finding the fish in general.
  8. Try get a spot with No Boundaries. Sadly, most of the areas in Oman have been decimated by netting and over fishing in recent years. Fishing there is way tougher than it ever was. https://www.facebook.com/NoBoundariesOman/?hc_ref=ARR7oyhXEjyftfBqOdiQuoS2QOEPA6B-Y_-ZJDWXw72yzvFL2zmpk-Td9meVOhfKOYI&fref=nf
  9. I'd take a slightly harder approach with her. She wanted the divorce, she has made the poor financial decisions, and she must come up with the deposit. I know it's tough, but don't make her problems yours. This will set a bad precedent for any future financial issues she has (and I'm pretty certain there will be more).
  10. I've lost count of the number I've seen at Sterkies. And rhinkals on the Vaal, when you're chest deep in a run and they think you're an island
  11. Blockchain is already very much in use in the fintech sector, and is going nowhere. However the concept of using a highly volatile commodity as a transaction token (the very basis of crypto 'currency') is not something that will have a long life span.
  12. Exactly. Land owners at Holla are not paid for access, but 20% of the trail fees are supposed to be used toward controlling weeds, etc. From what I see this is not the case. Ultimately, R2k+ is very pricy when compared to the pricing of other venues.
  13. If the trail network was maintained then this would be true, but that's definitely not the case...
  14. Yeah Holla is getting crazy expensive for what you get. Trail maintenance is non-existent lately too. EMBA: R550 a year R30 per day
  15. It's worth noting that adders, and puffies specifically, are among the fastest striking venomous snakes. Don't let their lethargy fool you!
  16. Yeah I think they've had them around to come see the bikes. The NSR has full paperwork from the team, including laptime sheets, suspension set ups, etc. They've got the back ground on the Yammie, but no paperwork. They're becoming quite collectible and valuable of late, not that it matters because these guys don't ever sell bikes. Their collection is
  17. That took a little longer than expected. One bike is a '84-87 NSR250, ex Robbie Peterson works bike. Other is a Yammie 250, also from the Peterson brothers. They also have a Jody Schekter Yammie 350 which was raced in the late 70's. Pics will follow at some stage.
  18. She more than likely feels the emotion, but she wants you to hurt a little bit too. I hope you get through this soon.
  19. I've just had a very similar discussion at home. I could well say that the sharing in this thread may have helped saved my marriage.
  20. From what you've posted, you are badly positioned to end up footing the bill for your wife's poor financial decisions (both past and present). If I were in your position, I would consult a lawyer in my private capacity, just to protect my financial interests in this process. There is no need to put your financial security at risk due to her actions.
  21. The mediator will explain to her that she has no legal recourse for you to "maintain her lifestyle". If she wants to live alone then she will need to foot the bill for that lifestyle...
  22. You are not far off IMO. Read a stat that 40% of BTC in circulation is held by about 100 individuals. That makes the model very susceptible to manipulation and pump & dump movements. I personally know of one person with significant holdings in BTC, and they are very much profiting from these massive movements. I believe a lot of it is being coordinated on Telegram groups.
  23. As a Pyga fan I tend to agree, their framesets are pricey. Starts competing with some very established brands, and is also the main reason I built something different this time round. They are still lovely bikes though.
  24. I shall answer with details and (hopefully) pictures shortly
  25. That is just lovely! A mate of mine, who collects bikes, has 2 original, running 250 SA GP bikes on display in his office. But I've yet to convince him to let me take one for a joy ride
